At the request of Theophilus Hargraves the following Deed was recorded May 24, 1809
Indenture made April 8, 1809; George Washington Dent and Ann Dent his wife of Columbia County, Georgia, in consideration of $4000 paid by Theophilus Hargraves of CC have sold 1/3rd part right title and interest to tract "Indian Town" on the east side of Nanjemoy Creek and descended from George Hutchison jointly to his three daughters, co-heiresses and only legal representatives; viz, Mary Hutchison since intermarried with William Dent Harrison, Jane Fowke Hutchison intermarried with Theophilus Hargraves and Ann Hutchinson intermarried with George Washington Dent. To son Aquilla Dyson, 1 slave, but in case the hrs. of John Chunn shd. recover sd. slave from son Aquilla Dyson or his guardian, then Aquilla to be made equal, which with my 3 children: Winefred, Mary and Samuel Turner Dyson, out of their 3 different parts; but in case the hrs, of John Chunn shd. not recover sd. slave from Aquilla. or his guardian, to dau. At the request of Michael Jenifer Stone Esquire Chief Justice of Charles County Court the following Bond was Recorded this 29th day of December Anno Domini 1792 Maryland Sct: Know all men by these presents that we James Simms William McConchie Senior John Muschett Thomas Andrew Dyson and William Farr all of Charles County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just quantity of Two hundred Thousand pounds of good sound merchantable leaf Tobacco in Casks To be paid to the said State To the Which Payment well and Truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and every of us our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and severally in and for the whole firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this third day of December one Thousand seven hundred and Ninety two
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound James Simms do and shall well and truly serve the State of Maryland in the office of High Sheriff in the County of Charles within the State aforesaid and in all things execute the duties of the said Office and shall also render unto the said State and other Officers of the said State a true faithfull and perfect account of all and singular the said States rights and dues and to the Officers of the said state a true and just Account of their fees that he shall or maybe entrusted with by the said States Governor and other his Officers within the said State to receive and collect and his account to the said State and the Governor for the time being for the fines and forfeitures and other dues belonging to the said States Governor as also his account of all fees dues or sums of money or Tobacco due to any of the Good people within the said State for any sum or sums of money or Tobacco wherewith the said Sheriff shall be entrusted with during the time of his Sheriffathy for the present year or to such of them as shall require the same shall pay and render by the fifteenth day of September next ensuing the date hereof and in all other things as Sheriff of the County of Charles shall behave himsel well and honestly to all present According to the best of his power Skill and Knowledge then this Obligation to be void else to be and remain in full force power and virtue in Law

I, Peter Wood of CC, being weak of body, but of sound and perfect mind,
To daughter Elizabeth Crain, wife of Mr. Robert Crain, all those tracts purchased of Thomas Andrew Dyson called "Dysons Progress", Dysons Choice", and "Swann Hills"
To granddaughter Elizabeth Ashby, 300 acres of land lying in Fauquier County which I purchased of Thomas Smith and Elizabeth his wife.
To son John Thomas Mudd [sic Wood], my dwelling plantation and the lands consisting of several tracts, part of "Redding", "Gravelly Walk", and "Addition of Gravelly Walk"' and one other tract of land lying in Prince George's Couinty called "Doves Nest", which is adjacent to the above tracts in Charles County. Also to son John Thomas Wood, negroes, Sam and his wife Joane, and Sam and Isaac sons of Sam and Joane. Also the rest and residue of my estate after the payment of my debts.
To grandson, Thomas Wood, son of Peter, 300 pounds current money of Maryland, at age 21 yrs.
