Francis H. Sheid, Will, November 3, 1810; December 8, 1810
I, Francis H. Sheid of CC, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
To son Francis James Sheid, part of tract called "Lee", which I purchased of Samuel Chapman except 4 acres which is to be so laid off as to include the mill.
To daughter Ann Gray Sheid, the mill with the 4 acres of land together will all other lands which I am now in possession.
Item: should both children die without lawful heirs or before 21 yrs, then the above lands to be the property of Peter Dent son of Theodore Dent..

I wish my son Francis James Sheild to remain with Mrs Elizabeth Franklin, his grandmother till he arrives at a suitable {age} to be put to school, then to be taken by my executor and well educated, and my daughter Ann Gray Sheid to be kept and brought up by my mother and sister Eleanor Dent.

Charles County Land Records 1792-1796; Liber N#4; Page 158. Lease. Sep 12, 1793 from Charles Green of CC, to Elizabeth Marbury, Martha Sheid, and Eleanor Sheid of CC, for the rents, covenants, and agreements herein after mentioned, the lease of a parcel of land called Durham, lying in CC on the main road that leads from Port Tobacco to Piscataway, and whereon sd Elizabeth Marbury, Martha Sheid, and Eleanor Sheid now live and have resided since last Jan, containing about 22-1/2 acres. The lease begins today and is to last as long as Elizabeth Marbury, Martha Sheid, and Eleanor Sheid, or either of them, are single and continue to reside on the land. The yearly rent is 21 shillings on each Jun 24. Signed - Charles (4- his mark) Green. Wit - Geo Lee*, Henry H Chapman*. Eleanor Green, wife of the sd Charles Green, relinquished her right of dower. At the request of Francis H. Sheid the following Lease was recorded July 20, 1801
CC Sct; I hereby assign, transfer and set over unto Francis H. Sheid all my right title interest claim and demand in to a parcel of land leased by Charles Green to Elizabeth Marbury, Martha Sheid and Eleanor Sheid on September 12, 1793, for value of him received. Signed Elizabeth Marbury on July 17, 1801 in the presence of William H. McPherson, Benjamin B. Beall
