      Charles County Land Record Book S#3, 1770-1775; Page 525. Aug 20, 1773 from James Barker Muncaster of CC, planter, to Ann Adams, widow of Josias Adams, late of CC, decd. Sd Muncaster, on Jul 21, 1770, passed his bond to sd Josias Adams in the penalty of 265 £, with condition to convey to sd Josias Adams, all that tract of land in CC called Williams' Folly, containing about two hundred and sixt acres". Sd Josias Adams having in his lifetime paid sd Muncaster 55 £in partial payment for sd land, afterwards made his will, in which sd Josias Adams, after sundry legacies, devised the whole remainder of his estate to his sd wife, Ann Adams, in which sd remainder is included sd Josias Adams' interest in sd land called Williams' Folly, the same not being before by sd will specifically devised. Now sd James Barker Muncaster, in pursuance of his bond afd and for 35 £, sells to sd Ann Adams all that tract of land afd, lying in CC, called Williams' Folly, containing about 260 acres. Aug 20, 1773 from Ann Adams of CC (widow), to Anna Adams and Elizabeth Mason Adams, daughters of the sd Ann Adams, (as tenants in common), for 100 £, a tract of land in Durham Parish in CC, called Williams' Folly, containing about 260 acres, and being the land sd Ann Adams purchased of James Barker Muncaster. Dec 4, 1775 from Daniel Jenifer Adams, Anna Adams, and Elizabeth Mason Adams of CC, children of Josias Adams, late of CC, to his Excellency, General George Washington, for 580 £12 shillings sterling to sd Daniel Jenifer Adams in hand paid by sd George Washington, and for 12 £paid to sd Anna Adams and Elizabeth Mason Adams, and for divers other good causes, they sell to sd George Washington, all those several tracts of land in Durham Parish in CC, that is to say, all that tract of land called Josias' Help, containing about 109 acres, all that tract of land called Wades Addition, containing 33.33 acres, all that tract of land called Adams' Retirement, about 100 acres, all that tract of land, Adams' Outlet, containing 50 acres, and also all that tract of land called Williams' Folly, containing about 260 acres, which last tract of land was conveyed by James B.
