      From Zachia New Bridges to Benedict Town, from Zachia New Bridges up the Clay Bridge Road to the borders of the County, the usual road from the Clay Bridges to the Head of Swanson's Creek, from John Gates' to Benedict Town Road, and from the Road that strikes out of sd Gates' Road 'til it falls into Swanson's Creek Road near Mr. Wm Wilkinson's, from Rouse's landing by John Lyons 'til it falls into Newp't Road by Wm Hagan's, from John Rouses by Capt. Smith's to Bened:t Town, Wm Hagan, Overseer.

      Mar 14, 1743 froml William Hagan of CC, to James Ashby of CC, Gentleman, for 5 shillings sterling, one lot of ground in Boarmans Mannour, contained in a tract of land of 60 acres, sold by William Boarman to Thomas Hagan, which sd Thomas Hagen bequeathed to the said William Hagon, bounded by a dwelling house standing on sd lot.       Charles County Land Record Book A#2, 1752-1756; Page (299). Sep 5, 1754 from William Hagan of CC, planter, and Eleanor, his wife, to John Hanson of CC, planter. Since the death of John Hanson, late of CC, some disputes arose between the parties concerning the right and property of sd John's real estate, and for the quieting whereof, sd parties mutually agreed to submit the dispute to John Stoddert, Byne Smallwood, Walter Hanson, Robt Yates, and Dan of St Thos Jenifer, or any 3 of them, and to abide by their determination, the parties being bound to each other in the sum of 800 £sterling, when upon last Aug 14, the referees afd ruled that sd William Hagan and Eleanor, his wife, shall, within 30 days from the date hereof, forever quit claim a tract of land called Hansons Amendment to sd John Hanson. Now this further witnesses that sd William Hagan and Elenor, his wife, for and in consideration of the award afd and for 5 shillings sterling, have granted sd John Hanson, that tract called Hansons Amendment, lying on the east side of Portobacco [cr] in CC, and late in the tenor and occupation of John Hanson, decd, being about 500 acres, signed - Wm Hagan, Elener (X her mark) Hagan. Wit - Allen Dave (Davis) , Jas Nivison. Eleanor relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned. Recorded Feb 27, 1755.

Aug 30, 1756 from William Boarman of CC, planter, to William Hagan of CC, planter, for 8000 lbs of tobacco and for divers other good causes, a tract of land that is part of William Boarman's Manor, lying on the east side of the main Road from the widow Montgomerys to a mill built formerly by Vincent Askin, containing about 390 acres. Also that part of sd Manor lying on the east side of a small branch running between the sd William Hagan's and Smith Middleton's, containing about 65 acres, 405 acres of the afd 2 parcels [being] bounded by the line of St. James' and Hagans Addition, now in possession of sd William Hagan, Signed - Wm Boarman.       Charles County Land Records 1792-1796; Liber N#4; Page 300. Sep 16, 1794 from Joseph Hagan of CC, to John David, Incembent or Pastor for the Roman Catholic Congregation of Lower Zachia, of CC. William Hagan, father of afd Joseph Hagan, did, on Mar 4, 1743, sell to James Ashby, a lot in Boarmans Manor, contained in a tract of 60 acres sold by William Boarman to Thomas Hagan, which sd Ashby applied to the purpose of erecting a chapel & fixing a burying ground for the service of the afd Roman Catholic Congregation. Sd lot is now found inadequate to the purpose intended by Ashby. Therefore, ad Joseph Hagan, for 10 shillings, has sold to sd John David, a lot of land adjacent, surrounding, and including the afd lot sold by William Hagan to sd Ashby.
