      "being of sound disposing mind, memory, and understanding ..
      Bequeaths to:
      I. Margaret Beall --wife
      -to have all of testator's present dwelling plantation for her natural life or widowhood along w/ one third part of the personal estate
      -named executrix of the will
      2. Andrew Beall --son
      -at widow's decease or remarriage to have testator's present dwelling plantation -to have testator's gray stallion in lieu of 12000 Ibs of tobacco which testator was to have given him for the horse
      -to have Negro man "Will"
      -to have testator's best feather bed and fum., 2 cows and calves, 2 ewes and lambs, I birch table
      3. Elizabeth Brown --daughter
      -to have part of the tract or parcel of land which testator purchased from Thomas Webb and whereon Webb now lives to run from the beginning tree of "Mendan" agreeable to the course which will be found among testator's papers
      -to have Negro girl "Pendance"
      -to have 2nd best feather bed and furn., 2 cows and calves, 2 ewes and lambs and best Cherry tree table
      -to have 1/2 of testator's "Cain Tuck Lands"
      -should she die w/out heirs, then the above to be divided among the rest of testator's children

      -to have the land which testator purchased from John Hamilton and also the remainder of the land which testator purchased from Thomas Webb

      -to have a small gilt trunk
      -to have the other 1/2 of the "Cain Tuck" lands and after the lands are secured both Nancy and Elizabeth to pay testator's son Richard 50 pounds specie or the value thereof
      5. Andrew Offutt --grandson
      -to have Negro boy "Charles" and no more of the estate having heretofore given his now deceased mother a child's part of the estate
      6. Peter Brown --son-in-law
      -testator's bond which is of John Hoffman, Basil Wilson, and William Conn for the sum of 18 pounds 19 shillings 4 pence specie to be lodged in Brown's hands who is authorized to make demand on such whenever he thinks proper and the sum is to be applied to the education of James and Bennett Scott, the youngest sons of Mary Bennett Hoffman and for that case, Brown is appointed trustee for James and Bennett Scott
      7. John Smith Scott
      Watkins Scott {youngest sons of Mary Bennett Hoffman
      -they along w/ James and Bennett Scott to have the sum of 50 pounds specie each when they arrive at the age of 21

      Then came: Margaret Beall, widow and appointed executrix, who relinquished her right to act as executrix of the will.
      Then came: Margaret Beall, widow and relict, and quit her claim to the bequests of the will and elected to take her lawful thirds of the estate both real and personal

      At the request of Richard Ponsonby the following Deposition was Enrolled Novemr 27th 1781 Bladensburgh Prince Georges County Maryland Sct 27th Novemr 1781 I hereby certify that after I had in haste wrote the lat Andrew Bealls last Will and Testament on or about the 17th of July last he on perusal thereof observed to me that I had omitted mentioning throughout that the several bequests therein therein particularized to his Sons and Daughters were not to them and each of their Heirs and Assigns I found it was the Case and immediately offered to write the whole over again with the Additions agreeable to his wish and true meaning and which indeed seemed Essential he answered that I need not do it as he expected it was good in Law for the purpose intended without Heirs & being mentioned that none but their heirs or Assigns could claim after them but desired me to take notice that it was his desire and Real intention it should be so & in no other manner
