      I, Raphael Boarman of CC, am sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory.
      To my wife Elinor Boarman - it is my desire that she give up the third part of my lands (that is, her right and dowry of the real estate I had in my possession at my marriage with her), If she does, I give her a Mulatto boy named Jack, I give my wife one third of my personal estate.
      To my 4 children, Elizabeth, Rebeckah, Julianor, and Sarah Boarman - 4 Negroes named yellow Nell, Bess, Nelly, and Nan, to be divided between them, and their increase, when my oldest daughter turns 16.
      To my 2 sons, Joseph & John Bapt. Boarman - part of 2 tracts of land, the one named Calverts hope, the other, Boarmans Hazard, to be equally divided between them.
      I want my 4 daughters to have the use of 2 rooms, one with a fireplace, during their single lives, with about 4 acres of ground round the house and free access to wood, pasturage, and every other necessary, and to have it to live in if it should be their choice.
      If there should be an action brought by Mr. Holmes orphans or their guardians, for my wife's dowry of Mr. Holmes estate, that my executors have leave to draw whatever money and tobacco from my estate as may be necessary to maintain a suit for the same, according to equity and Justice.
      I want the rest of my personal estate, Negroes, stock, and furniture, with my cups, to be equally divided between my 6 children, when my oldest daughter turns 16.
      I want my 2 sons to have their estates paid to them at age 18.
      Executors: my wife Elinor Boarman & my brothers, Joseph & Rich Boarman. I appoint my afd brothers guardians and trustees to my children.

      At the request of William Barton Smoot of Charles the following Deed was recorded January 24, 1804
      Indenture made August 6, 1803; between Joseph Boarman, Raphael Boarman and Richard Bennett Aloysius Boarman sons of the late Joseph Boarman Sr., all of Prince George's County, Maryland and Joseph Boarman and John Baptist Boarman sons of the late Raphael Boarman of CC of the one part and William Barton Smoot of CC of the other part. Whereas Joseph Boarman Sr., of Prince George's County, Maryland did in the life time of his deceased brother Raphael Boarman vend unto him the one undivided moiety or half part of a tract of land called "Boarman's Hazard" and gave his bond for conveyance of the same but both Joseph Boarman Sr., and Raphael Boarman died before such conveyance was executed and Joseph Boarman and John Baptist Boarman sons of the late Raphael Boarman having sold 22-3/4 acres (clear of elder surveys) of the said land to Raphael Boarman (son of Bennett) who has exchanged and sold unto William Barton Smoot on the terms as will appear by a deed given by William Barton Smoot to Raphael Boarman (son of Bennett) for part "Chance Enlarged" containing 11-1/4 acres, the said Raphael Boarman having paid the full amount of the ½ of the 22-3/4 acres above mentioned (the courses of which will be mentioned below) to the above mentioned Joseph Boarman (son of the late Raphael Boarman) in tobacco, at the rate of 200 pounds crop tobacco per acre and for the remaining half having paid John Baptist Boarman brother of the said Joseph Boarman the full amount in cash at the rate of 3 pounds 15 shillings per acre. Know ye also that we Joseph Boarman, Raphael Boarman and Richard Bennett Aloysius Boarman sons of the late Joseph Boarman Sr., all of Prince George's County, Maryland have received 60 cents from William Barton Smoot. Now this indenture further Witnesseth in consideration of the 60 cents above mentioned paid by William Barton Smoot and for divers other considerations them thereunto moving that we Joseph Boarman, Raphael Boarman and Richard Bennett Aloysius Boarman sons of the late Joseph Boarman Sr., all of Prince George's County, Maryland and Joseph Boarman and John Baptist Boarman sons of the late Raphael Boarman in consideration of the tobacco and money paid as mentioned by Raphael Boarman s/o Bennett have sold unto William Barton Smoot all that part of a tract called "Boarman's Hazard" containing 22-3/4 acres and bounded by "Husclaws Addition".
