      Bequeaths to:
      1. Elizabeth Magruder --wife
      -to have for her natural life all testator's lands lying to the westward of the lines beginning in a small branch where it intersects the given line of a tract of land called "Cox Hays" now in testator's possession a little distance above a bridge over the said branch on the main road leading to the ferry and thence running down the said branch until it intersects the 2nd line of the said tract
      -to have Negro man "Bob" and Negro woman "Mary
      -to have over and above the Negroes now in testator's possession
      -to have all of testator's household furniture, plantation utensils of every kind
      2. Alexander Howard Magruder --son
      -to have the lands lying to the eastward of the lands devised to testator's widow being part of 2 tracts of land called "Cox Hays" and the other being "Taylor's Marsh"
      --to have the above lands with conditions that he pay the sum of 500 pounds to testator's widow w/in 6 months

      1767-1769 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber BB 2 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 372. At the request of John Perrie the following Deed was recorded March 29, 1769
      Indenture made February 22, 1769; Levin Covington, Gentleman in consideration of 155 pounds 5 shillings currency paid by John Perrie, Gentleman of Swansons Neck has sold part of a tract containing 159 ½ acres of land and marsh, 4 ¼ acres which are included in an elder survey originally granted unto Thomas Hatton, Esq. and now the property of the said John Perrie which being deducted from the aforesaid quantity there remains 155 ¼ acres of land and marsh lying on the north side of Swansons Creek (formerly called Indian Town Creek, alias Fransum Creek) part of a tract originally on January 10, 1695 granted by patent (on the escheat) to Thomas Paggett and Joseph Greer for 400 acres and the part of the said tract aforementioned hereby intended to be conveyed being the moiety of the said tract that became the right of Thomas Paggett one of the patentees which by a deed of partition May 20th 1696 and the said Thomas Paggett with his son Thomas Paggett by their deed of conveyance duly acknowledged and recorded bearing date July 31, 1722 did convey unto Levin Covington, grandfather to the aforementioned Levin Covington but for as much as the courses of the last mentioned deed does not belong to the said tract as appears by a survey lately made which said part was corrected. (Metes and bounds follow). Signed Levin Covington in the presence of and acknowledged before John Harrison, Thomas Trueman and at the same time Susannah Covington wife of Levin Covington relinquished her right of dower

      1774-1780 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber CC 2 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 599. At the request of Leven Covington & Richard King the following Articles of Agreement was recorded April 10, 1779
      Indenture made March 13, 1779; between Leven Covington, Gentleman of one part and Richard King, millwright of the other part. Witnessed that whereas Leven Covington and Richard Keene have by these presents entered into a covenant of partnership in building and erecting a water grist mill on the lands and premises now in possession of the said Leven Covington called "Covington's Farm" which said mill to be erected on the side of a Acquasco Branch otherwise called the main branch of Covington Creek 22 ¾ acres to be distinguished by the name of "Covington Mill Seat". And whereas Richard King in consideration of Leven Covington appropriating the aforesaid land the said Richard King is to build and complete the mill and the said Levin Covington finding the timber and diet during the time of the building. Signed Leven Covington, Richard King in the presence of and acknowledged before Thomas Gantt, Jr., Alexander Howard Magruder and at the same time Susannah Covington wife to Leven Covington relinquished her right of dower to the one half moiety of the mill seat
