"In the Name of God, Amen. I George Beall of Montgomery County and state of Maryland being weak of body but of perfect mind and disposing memory and bearing in mind the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life do ordain this to be my last will & testament renouncing & disanuling all former wills, and
First I will my soul to God in whose mercy with the merits of Jesus Christ I depend for Salvation
Secondly that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner, and
Thirdly I will that all my just debts be paid out of the Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with and the remainder to be divided in manner and form following, viz.
Item I give and bequeath to my son George Beall
Item I give all my houses and lots in George Town to my son Thomas Beall and also all that tract or parcel of Land called "Canjurors Disappointment" and also part of "Dumbarton" to be divided by the great Branch that leads to the Saw Mill thence to the main Road all that part that lies to the south ward to belong to my sd. son Thos. Beall
Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Evans my Negro fellow Jack to serve four years and then to be set free"

Research Notes from George Swann
I found a list of his 12 children transcribed from the family bible of George C. Washington, who married a granddaughter. While no dates were listed, the children were listed in order with notations for the ones that died young.

Preferred to the Justices of Our County Court on the fourth Tuesday in August in the Thirteenth year of Our Dominion & ca for Land Commission to examine Evidences to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the tract of land called God Father's Gift in Prince George's Co., MD
Gabrail Hughes being next Sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty
God at a white Oak Sump Standing in a levil Bottom as above described put his hand on the Said Stump and declared that he this deponant was Present when Capt. James Edmonston Shewed Coll George Beall The above mentioned Tree which was then Standing and Told both Coll George Beall and this Deponant also that the said Tree was the begining Tree of a Tract of land Called God fathers Gift Wee then went up the Paint Branch to the Tree which Coll George Beall proved from the Same information which this Deponant after being Sworn as above put his hand on and declared that James Edmonston (the same day) told him it was the Second boundary of a Tract of land Called God fathers Gift Wee then went further up the said Paint Branch to a white Oak Standing in a small Branch that runs into Said Branch which this deponant put his hand on and after being Sworn as above declared that Capt. James Edmonston the Same day that he shewed him the other Two Trees shewed him that also and Told him it was the fourth Tree of God fathers Gift and that Coll George Beall persuaded him this deponant to put his arms round the sd Tree when Capt James Edmonston Immediately took hold of his hands and held them while Coll George Beall whiped him at the Tree and farther this deponant Sayeth not

1763-1765 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}
64. By order ofthe Justices oft he County Court, and at the request of Charles Carroll Junr. the following Land Commissions and Depositions were recorded. Authorized Andrew Hugh, David Lynn, Charles Jones and Henry Wright Crabb, as commissioners, for tracts called "CIoes Purchase" and "Girls Portion," to perpetuate the memory ofthe bounds. Signed by John Darnall.
65. The commissioners met near the mouth of Darnall's Branch, on the east side of Rock Creek, and took the following depositions: Hugh Tomlinson, aged 70 years or thereabouts, said that he knows nothing of Mr. Charles Carrolls beginning tree of Girls Portion, and being come to the aforesaid dead chestnut, the second tree of Girls Portion, says that about 1/4 of a mile from here up the branch he knows a Spanish oak fairly bounded which he and his neighbor used to deem the beginning. He says 23-24 years ago, Thomas Wilson laid off all Mr. Carroll's tenants lands on the Girls Portion from this chestnut and it was then deemed Mr.Carroll's second tree of Girls Portion. James Hughes, aged 37 years or thereabouts, says that about 20 years ago, this deponent followed the carpenters business, and being along with Thomas Hoskins Junior, looking for a rafter tree he saw a white oak tree fairly bounded near the place where we now are and was then told by Grove Thomlonson, that the said tree was a tree of Girls Portion, but whether the 1st 2nd or 3d line he does not say. On Tuesday 27 July 1762, they met at the house of William Tannehill aforesaid, and from thence to a place formerly deemed and known to be an Indian Old Field- John Davidson, being duly sworn, said that many years ago when he was getting a frame for old Hugh Thomlinson, he saw a bounded white oak tree on the south or southeast side ofwhere we are now, and thereon told it was a tree of Mr. Carrolls land. Col. George Beall, gave a deposition regarding bounded white oak.
John Dowden, aged 59 years or thereabouts, says that 20 years ago, this dead chestnut tree, standing near the mouth of Darnall's Branch, or Broad Run, by Grove Tomlinson for the second or Beginning tree of Girls Portion, and it was deemed the second or beginning tree of Mr. Carroll's land.
67: James Goare aged 53 or thereabouts says that the land was laid for Hugh Tomlinson as tenant to Mr. Carroll, Thomas Willson began at this dead chestnut tree. Signed James Gore.
Edward McBoy. aged 40 years or thereabouts says that about 7 years ago, he was clearing land for Groves Thomlinson. told him to take care that he did not go on Mr. Carroll's land, and showed this deponent a stump of a black oak tree standing within 30 ft of the chestnut as before described, which stump he was told was a bounded tree of said Thomlinson's land and Mr. Carroll's.
Samuel Beall aged 46 years, said that 17 years ago he went to Grove Tomlinson's house in order to look at some tobacco, and they went together near the place where he now was and was told, and he was told that the Chestnut tree which was now dead was the second tree of Girls Portion and the beginning ofhis land. Depositions continued to Thursday 29 October. to meet at the house ofthe aforesaid Mr. Tannehill.
68. Meeting as before, to the beginning tree of a tract called Cloe Purchase. it being a white oak six feet from a branch.
Samuel Bell Junior aged about 55 years, said that about 20 years ago. Charles Beall showed him the tree aforesaid and that it was the beginning tree of the aforesaid tract. which Charles Beall surveycd for William Fitzomond Coleman (?) No other evidences present so continued to 8 December. 1761. when they again met at house ofWilliam Tannehill, and adjourned. On Tuesday, 20 April 1762. They met at place known to be an Indian Old Field. Samuel Beall Junior, being sworn, regarding Girls Portion, says that a considerable time ago, near the planters whereabouts we now stand he saw a bounded white oak with 12 notches, and was told by Charles Beall it was a tree of Girls Portion, and has been told the same by John Dowden, but does not know if 1st, 2nd or 3d tree.

1347-1349. John Murdock and by order of Frederick County Court, the following Commission and depositions are recorded. To Charles Jones, Robert Peter, Anthony Holmead and Erasmus Gill
Whereas John Murdock ofthe county aforesaid is possessed of three tracts: one Philip and Jacob, one Whitehaven, and likewise a part of a tract called Friendship, petitioned before Thomas Beatty and his associates to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds ofthe aforesaid tract. Issued 25 day of June 1764, by John Darnall.
Deposition of Col. George Beall aged about 70 years, relating to beginning tree, now a heap of stones, of land called Philip and Jacob also the beginning of a tract of land called Whitehaven, sayeth that. Capt. James Edmonston took up a tract called Amsterdam, that he this deponent was present and heard the said Edmonston say that here was the beginning, meaning the heap ofstones, of White Haven and Philip and Jacob, and that he the said Edmonston, made his beginning for Amsterdam at the said heap of stones. Further says that he believes and understood that Friendship has a reference to Philip and Jacob and Whitehaven, and that he has no land situated with any of the tracts. 5 August 1765.
Deposition of Captain George Beall, aged about 30 years, says the beginning tree, now a heap of stones, of a tract called Philip and Jacob and also of a tract called White Haven, sayeth that his father about 15 years ago told him that the heap of stones was the beginning of the two tracts. 5 August 1765.
Deposition of Samuel Magruder, aged about 57 years, says that about 37 or 38 years ago, the aforesaid land then in the possession of one Powell, and that the said beginning was proved by Charles Beall and John Flint Senr., this deponent being on that occasion one of the juryman, and says further that a white oak stump with two large stones set against it standing near the bank ofthe River Potowmack, and near to the mouth of Rock Creek is the stump ofthe tree which was the beginning tree ofthe aforesaid tract ofland then in the possession of one Powell, and it was then taken up by one John Evans, but this deponent does not remember to have heard the name ofthe land. 5 August 1765.
Deposition of Samuel Magruder the third, aged about 57 years relating to the beginning of a tract of land, says that he was informed 37 or 38 years ago that the beginning tree was standing near the end of the first line of Evan's Land.
Deposition of Col. George Beall aged 70 years. That about 30 years ago, he was in company with John Flint, who showed him a hickory for the beginning tree of Friendship, and that a locust post now fixed in the ground is in the very spot where the hickory stood, near the main road from George Town to Frederick Town, in the very place where Charles Beall showed him this deponent about 45 years ago, and that said was a tree of Addison's land called Friendship.

father showed him was the beginning place of Friendship; and he was showed the same place by Mr. William Dent afterwards. 5 August 1765.
Deposition of Ninian Tannahill, Senior, aged about 73 years, relating to a tract called Friendship, which he understood was taken up by Mr. Stoddart and Mr. Thomas Addison, says that a split rock standing to the south westward about 100 yards from Thomas Grave's plantation was showed to him about 37 years ago by John Allison to be the end of said land. 5 August 1765.
Deposition of John Dowden Senr., about 64 years, being first sworn, relating to a boundary of a tract ofland called "Friendship," which was taken up by Mr. Stoddart and Thomas Addison, that a split rock standing about 300 years from Thomas Grave's plantation was shown to him by both George Beall and John Allison Senior to be the corner ofthe tract of land called friendship. 5 August 1765.

Apr 29, 1780 from George Beall (eldest son and heir at law of Colo George Beall, lately decd) of M, to Thomas Beall, his youngest brother, of M. Whereas the sd Colo George Beall, father of the parties afd, by his will dated Mar 15, 1780 (which will has been proved and recorded in the Office of the Register of Wills for M), has bequeathed all his, sd Colo George Beall's lots in George Town, and all that tract of land called Conjurors Disappointment, unto the sd Thomas Beall, his son, all which lots and tract of land were then the property of the sd Colo George Beall, now decd. And whereas it is not mentioned in the afd devise in sd will that the sd lots and tract of land shall descend to the heirs and assigns of the sd Thomas Beall, whereby doubts have arisen whether he, sd Thomas Beall, can claim any more than an estate therein during his own natural life. Therefore this present deed witnesses that the sd George Beall, for the natural love he has for his brother Thomas Beall, and to remove all doubts and prevent all disputes which might hereafter arise concerning the devise afd, and for 5 shillings, he confirms to sd Thomas Beall all his, George Beall's, estate that he has or that he or his heirs may hereafter have as heir or heirs at law of the afd George Beall decd, to all the sd lots in George Town and the tract of land called Conjurors Disappointment, as mentioned in sd will. Apr 29, 1780 from Thomas Beall (son of George) of M, to George Beall, his brother (eldest son and heir at law of Colo George Beall lately decd) of M. Whereas sd George Beall, father of the parties afd, by his will dated Mar 15, 1780 (which will was proved and recorded in the Office of the Register of Wills for M), has bequeathed to sd Thomas Beall, his son, part of a tract of land called The Rock of Dumbarton, to be divided by the great branch that leads to the Saw Mill, thence to the Main Road, all that part that lays to the southward, to belong to his sd son, Thomas Beall, from whence doubts have arisen whether that part of the same tract of land which lays on the east side of Rock Cr, and to the southward of the sd Great Branch, is or is not the right and property of the sd Thomas Beall, according to the expression in the afd will. Although he, the sd Thomas Beall, is satisfied that it was not his decd's father's intention that that part of it which lays on the east side of Rock Cr should become his right by the sd devise, therefore this present deed witnesses that the sd Thomas Beall, for the natural love that he has for his sd brother George Beall, and to remove all doubts and prevent all disputes which might hereafter arise about sd devise, and for 5 shillings, he confirms to sd George Beall, all his, sd Thomas Beall's claim to all that part of the afd tract of land called the Rock of Dumbarton, which lays on the east side of Rock Cr as afd, being that part of the sd tract of land whereon the saw and grist mills now stand, the same lying in M, together with sd saw and grist mills, mill houses, dwelling houses, out houses, fences, gardens, orchards, ways, roads, waters, watercourses, and all other conveniences and improvements.
