      BAXTER, NATHANIEL, 22 May, 1676;2 May, 1677.
      In the Name of God Amen.
      I Nathaniel Baxter of the parish of ffarnham in the County of Rapp" Planter, being by God's grace intended forth for the warrs do make and ordain this my last will & Testament in manner & form following Imprs. I bequeath my Soule unto Almighty God who gave it in full & certain hope in and through the meritts of Jesus to inherit Eternal life and my body to return to the earth and likewise it is my will & I do hereby give & bequeath unto my naturall Sonn Nathaniel Baxter and his heirs forever all the bounds of my land from Piscataway Creek unto Mr. Parrys little Creek and the remainder of my divident of land which lyeth on the other side of Mr. Parrys Creek towards Thomas Dayes formerly Huttsons by virtue hereof I will unto my daughter Ann Baxter and to her lawful heirs forever Provided allways that if it please God to take to his Mercy either my son Nathaniel or my daughter Anne before they be of the age of one and twenty years or be married the first of them so dyeing his or her part of the land abovesd shall fall and descend to the Survivor for ever.
      To wife one young gray stone horse with a small slit in the right eare and a black pied heifer comonly called by the name of Fitt with all her increase to be wholly at her disposing.
      To my daughter Elethias Baxter one cow commonly known by the name of Cherry with all her increase male and female to her and her heirs for ever and in case the said cow should die without any increase then the sd Elethias to have a heifer out of the stock with her increase male & female for ever Provided allways and it is my desire that in case the said Elethias shall die without issue then the said cow or heifer to returne with their increase to my abovesd Children.
      To wife in lieu of her thirds and to my abovenamed son and daughter Nathaniel and Anne equally to be divided after my debts satisfied all my personal estate moveable and unmoveable for ever. Executrix and Executors my wife and my son Nathaniel and my daughter Anne and likewise my beloved friends Mr William Young senior & Thomas Roberts to see this my will executed.

      Thomas Roberts, aged 28 years or thereabouts, testified that he the deponent did write and see Nathaniel Baxter sign said will in the presence of Thomas Jenkins, John Jolly & Barbary Andrews.

      TO ALL CHRISTIAN PEOPLE to whom this present writing shall come SAML: PARRY of the Parish of Farnham in ye County of Rappa. sendeth Greeting in our Lord God everlasting Know ye that I SAML. PARRY for good consideration me thereunto moveing & for & in consideration of the Speciall love & singular affection which I always bear unto my Loving Friend FRANCIS BROWN of PISCATACON CREEK in the Parish afd. Planter have given granted & aliened delivered & confirmed unto the said FRANCIS BROWNE his heirs & admrs. for Ever free egress & regress to that ILAND GROUND or parcel of land commonly knowne or called by ye name of the WADING POINT situate & being near the Plantation now in the Tenour of NATHL. BAXTER un PISCATACON CREEK above mentioned w have & to hold to clear build & make any use of whatsoever for his own necessary occasion wth priviledges I give unto him the said FRANCIS BROWN from me my heirs Exrs: Admrs: without any molestation or trouble to FRANCIS BROWN his heirs for ever warranting & confirming my sd Gift as also this Instrument of assurance or Deed of Gift & all things else thereunto belonging from me SAML.       WHEREAS a Sute in Law comenced by CAPT. ALEX. FLEMING agt: NATH: BAXTER as the Attorney of CAPT. JUNIFER PLOVER and JOHN HILL Iromonger Being Referred by Consent of Both partyes as by record may appeare to us COLLO. JNO. WALKER & ANTHO: BRIDGES wee by a mutual consent doe agree and order that Nath: Baxter pay unto Capt. Alex: Fleming as attorney aforesd being a Finall Determination of all causes and suites of Law demand or Demands wtsoever to the sd Baxter his his heires for Ever in for and to the Behoofe of all partyes aforesd and for them their heires Eight hundred pounds of Every way welcondiconed Tobo: caske foure hundred pounds of wch said Tobo: in at or uppon the 10th of 8br Next, and it is Further ordered that the said Baxter pay all Charges of Court since a non suite obteyned agt the sd Fleming by the sd Baxter IN TESTIMONEY whereof wee have sett our hands this 8th 9br anoque Redempions 19:

      - Whereas HUMPHRY PERKINS of this County by Marrying with the Relict of NATHA: BAXTER deced became possest with the Estate of the said BAXTER who by Will gave unto his Children a considerable part of his Estate, and for as much as RICHARD TAYLER hath marryed one of the Daughters of said BAXTER and upon Auditt appointed by this Court it appeared that two thousand pounds of tob: and caske is due to the sd TAYLER in right of his Wife, this Court have therefore ordered the said HUMPHRY PERKINS doe pay out of the Estate of the sd BAXTER deced Two thousand pounds of tob: and caske unto the said RICHARD TAYLER being due as aforesaid with costs of suite als Exec,

Said 200 acs. granted to sd. Perry 2 Jan. 1663 & sould to sd. Baxter 29 Dec. 1664. 300 acs. being the upper part of a devdt. of 1250 acs. granted sd. Perry 7 Feb. 1652 & since renewed by pattent 13 Jan. 1661; adj. upon upper line of Richard Hawkins, with the breadth upon Puscaticon Cr., extending for length with a line of Francis Brownes land & Tho. Cooper, & soe with the upper line of the grand pattern. Conveyed as beforementioned.
