      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we JOHN ST. JOHN, JAMES FINEY & JOHN 419- DUNN are held and firmly bound unto ROBERT BROOKS, WM. DAINGERFIELD, JOHN ROWZEE and SIMON MILLER Gentlemen Justices of the County of Essex in the sum of one hundred pounds Sterling Sealed with our seals and dated this 15th day of February 1742
      THE CONDITION of this obligation is such that if the above bound JOHN ST. JOHN Administrator of all the goods chattles and credits of THOMAS ALLEN deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of the goods chattles and credits of the sd deced the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited in the County Court of Essex at such time as he shall be thereunto required by the sd Court and do make a just and true account of his actings and doings therein when thereunto required by the sd Court and if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deced and the Executor or Executors named do exhibit the same in sd Court making request to have it allowed & approved Accordingly if the said JOHN ST. JOHN being thereunto required do deliver up his Letters of Administration approbation of such Testament being first had & made in the sd Court then this obli ation to be void . .

WILLIAM DAINGERFIELD Gentleman have appraized the Estate of THOMAS ALLEN deceased etc, items listed and valued but not totalled (some items being) 1 old gun; a hat, a hat cap & paire of Stocking; 2 razors & pare of gloves; parcel of old Lining Close; parcel of shooes & buckles; 1 powder horn & prayer Book; 1 wallet & Ell of brown lining; 1 Ink horn & half a quire of paper, a knife and some thred „ .
