    • Robert WASHINGTON of King George County, born July 25, 1729, died after 1799; married Dec. 16, 1756, Alice Strother. By deed in King G eorge July 3, 1777, Robert Washington, of King George and Alice his wife and Lawrence Washington the younger, of King George, and Catherine his wife, conveyed to Lund Washington, of Fairfax, 600 acres in King George, where Elizabeth Washington, mother of said Robert, Lawrence and Lund, lately lived. By deed in King George, dated June 13,1789, Robert Washington, of King George, conveyed land to his son Lund, and by deed dated June 29, 1790, conveyed to his son Thomas 576 acres in King George where said Robert Washington then lived, and also by deed in King George, dated Sept. 17, 1799, conveyed to his son Thomas Washington of King George, land in that county. The land in King George, where said Robert Washington then resided, which had been granted by Lord Fairfax to Townshend Washington July 10, 1739 (FTM CD #162, Page 782).

      1729-1748 Stafford County, Virginia Will Book M; [Antient Press]; Page 398-400 In Name of God Amen The 26th day of December In year of our lord God 1743 I TOWNSHEND WASHINGTON of Stafford in the Colony of Virginia being at present sick and weak but of sound and perfect memory .. being desirous to settle my worldly affairs so as no disputes may hereafter happen .. do make this my last will and Testament. First I recommend my Soul into hands of almighty God.my body to the Earth .. and as touching such worldly Estate .. my will is that the same shall, be employed as hereafter expressed. First I do revoke all wills formerly made. Imps. I give to my son ROBERT WASHINGTON all the Lands left me by my Mother at Matthias point and if he my said Son should die without heirs of his body lawfully begotten or before his selling the said land then the land to descend to my son THOMAS and if he should die without heirs .. or before selling the said land then the land to descend to my son TOWNSHEND and if he should die without heirs .. or before selling.. then to descend to my son LUND & if he should die without heirs .. or before selling .. then to descend to my son JOHN and heirs and if he should die without heirs .. or before his selling the land then .. to descend to my son LAWRENCE. heirs of his body lawfully begotten for ever. Item my will is that none of my land be sold before my wife's death unless she intermarrys and in that case I leave it. to my exes. to put her to her thirds if they think proper. Item my will is that all my negroes remain upon the land as they now are till my children he at age or marry & then in that case my Exes. are hereby directed and appointed to allocate & set apart to each of them my said Sons his proportionable part of all my negroes & other moveables. And it my wife should not think proper to intermarry then in that case my Exes. are hereby appointed & directed to set apart to each of my said Sons his proportionable part of my negroes and other moveables at the day of his .. Marriage or his being at age. Item my will is that at my wife's death the plantation whereon i now live to be sold to the highest. bidder unless there be but two of my sons then alive and then & in that case not to be sold, and the money from them so arising to be equally divided among my sons, he being; excepted that enjoys my land at Matthias's point neither is the said son to have any of my wife's thirds at her death.       THIS INDENTURE made this thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord 1777 Between ROBERT WASHINGTON of Saint Pauls Parish and king George County, Gent., and ALICE his Wife, and LAURANCE WASHINGTON the Younger of sd. County and CATHARINE his Wife of one part and LUND WASHINGTON of FAIRFAX County in the Commonwealth, Gent., of other part, Witnesseth that ROBERT WASHINGTON and ALICE his Wife and LAURANCE WASHINGTON and CATHARINE his Wife for sum of one thousand and two hundred pounds of lawful money of Virginia to them the said LAURANCE WASHINGTON and ROBERT WASHINGTON in hand paid by LUND WASHINGTON doth bargain and sell utno LUND WASHINGTON his heirs all the Plantation and tract of land whereon MRS.
