      page 546. Abstract. Deed. 1 Oct 1673. John Barker junr of the par of Southward in Surry Virginia, planter, sells to John Barker the elder , all right in 75 acres in Martinbrandon par. "Whereas George Marshall late of Martins brandon in Charles citty Com planter dec'd was in his lifetime possessed x x which the said George Marshall purchased of the widdow and heyre of one John Barker decd and being so possessed the said Georg Marshall by his last will, x dated the nineteenth Day of March 1672, did give x to Anne his wife all his land goods and chattells to her and her heyres forever as by the sd will proved in the County Court of Charles citty may appear soone after the makeing of which will the said Georg Marshall departed this life possessed of th plantacon afforsd, And the said Anne hath since marryed with John Barker the elder of the afforsaid parish of Southward planter since whch marriage the said John Barker the elder and Anne his wife by a certeine writeing x dated the second day of September now last past did x sell x unto me the said John Barker the younger x the afforsd plantacon". etc.

"Elizabeth Hacker late the wife of John Hacker late of Lyme howse in the parish of Stepney als Stebenheath in the Com of Midd planter dec'd for and in the behalf of my selfe and John Hacker my sonne and w'th his- assent and Consent being Co-exer of the last will and testam't of his late father John Hacker w'ty me the sd Elizab: Haqcker and being Guardian unto my sd sonne John Hacker".
      Elizabeth Hacker and her son John Hacker sell to "Daniell Bandowin of London mercht and George Marshall of London combemaker", for L 25., 150 acres in Virginia, now in occupation of Anthony Allen planter, "given and granted by 1rs pattent bearing date 7br the 17th 1645 unto my sd late husband John Hacker decd". John Hacker to confirm sale when 21 yrs of age.

      John Barker Sr. on Sept. 2, 1673, with his wife, Anne Barker, conveyed unto John Barker, Planter, a plantation bounding upon the main river of Upper Chippokes Creek (Surry Co. Wills, Deeds Orders Vol.1671-84,p.32) "To all people whom this deed, sale or writing of Bargain & Saill shall come, wee, Joh: Barker, Senr. of the parish of Southwick in the County of Surry in Virga and Anne, my wife, the late wife and Executrix of the last will and testament of Geo. Marshall, late of Martins Brandon in Charles City County decd. send greetings. Whereas, the sd Geo. Marshall was in his lifetime possessed ----of a certain Plantation--scituate att Martins Brandon, Containing 75 acres which the said Geo. Marshall purchased of the wido. & orpht of one Joh: HASKER---the sd. Geo: Marshall by his last will and testament in writing p'ved in Charles Citty County Courte, 9 March 1672, did give and bequeath to the sd. Anne, his wife---and I the sd John Barker have since married with the sd Anne---wee the sd Joh: Barker Senior and Anne, my wife, for a very valuable consideration to us by Joh: Barker, the Younger, of the p'sh & county aforesd, have given----unto the said doh: Barker, the Younger----the aforesd Plantion--scituate att Martins Brandon----"
