      March 26th 1655
      Memorandum - In the name of God and a Gods name, this is my last will and testament. First I do bequeath my soul to my Lord God and Blessed Savior and Redeemer. Secondly I do bequeath my body to my mother earth from whence it came.
      Here I do bequeath to my son Thomas Hickman two hundred acres of land joining the Northside unto John Bennetts marked trees according to the pattent.
      Secondly to my daughter Diana Hickman I do bequeath one hundred acres of land laying in the middle of the divident adjoining to her brother Thomas on the North and her brother Nathaniel on the South.
      Thirdly I do bequeath one hundred and fifty acres unto Nathaniel Hickman the younger on the Souther side according to pattent.
      And I do firmly bind this land by my will and testament for them and their heirs forever and not to sell nor to make this land not by buying or any way for to make it firm upon record for them and their heirs forever Amen,
      and after my debts be paid then all goods and hogs or what else, let it equally be divided between the mother, the 4 children. Here I leave all to the Almighty and I bequeath my soul to God my body to the Earth Amen, Amen.

      Know all men by these presents that I John Davies do [-----] and by these said presents authorise and appoint [-----] friend Nathaniel Hickman my true and lawfull attorney [-----] ask or demand of Mr. Thomas Wilsford any or all this [-----] appurtaining and belonging to me the said Davies and further I do authorisemy said attorney in my name to sue inplead the said Thomas Wilsford in all accounts which is [----- ] shall or may be stated or commanded as myself against the said Mr. Wilsford as also to efend for me the said Davies as any or all causes as is or may be pleaded against [-----] Davies either by the said Mr. Thomas Wilsford or [-----] and for whatsoever else my said attorney [-----] due in [-----] I do and shall allow of as also upon [-----] for my said attorney to make one [-----] and to sue the said Mr. Wilsford and also I do give power to my said attorney or attorneys [-----] I do by these presents certify confirm and allow of in as [-----] manner as if I myself be or was personally present.
