      Charles County Liber L#2, Page41.
At the request of Robt Covert of CC, the following deed was recorded Aug 27, 1722.
Feb 28, 1721 from Wm Godfry (Godfrey) and Jannitt (Jennitt), his wife, of Stafford County, Virginia, to Robt Covert of CC, planter, & Christian, his wife, for 270 acres and for divers other good causes, all that tract of land, being part of a tract called Partners-Content, lying in CC, and bounded by a parcel of land called Wadestone's Inlargement, containing and laid out for 270 acres. Signed - Willm Godfry, Jennett (1 her mark) Godfrey. Wit - Jno Manning, Wm Stone Jr, Wm Stone*, Thos Stone*.

Another possibility is that Robert Covert's wife Christian was Christian Atchison, daughter of William Atchison (d. 1698). I don't really see the logic for she being Saunder's daughter. The connections between Covert, Godfry, Smallwood, Cawood, Moore, and Atchison all seem to point to Robert Covert's wife being Christian Atchison. I'll have to check, but I seem to recall Robert Covert and Christian on land adjacent to one of the Atchisons in Charles Co.
