Of the two sons of Major William Buckner, but little is known. William died young, leaving his share of the estate to his brother John. His will is in the York Court records. After a brief preamble, it reads "I give unto my loving brother John Buckner all ye estate I die possessed of real and personal, and doe appoint my sd. loving brother my whole and sole exr. of this my last will and testament." Dated Dec. 17, 1722.

Will of CHRISTOPHER HARMAN. I Christopher Harman of county Stafford being very sick & weak in body .. give & bequeath to THOMAS MARSHALL a cow called bull neck & her yearling & to his wife my horse & my Negro woman .. to RALPH WALKER 700 pounds of sweet scented Tobo of my crop & 10 barrl of corn .. to WILLIAM BUCKNER all the rest of my crop of Tobo 6 one cow and her yearling down in the neck & all my money in England .. To RICHARD HINSUM 7 barrels of corn ,, to JOHN SMITH 4 barrels of Corn .. to JOHN DAVIS my mare & colt .. to JOHN ELLIT one hhd of Tobo he oweth me .. to JOHN CANARD my saddle ,. to RICHARD POWELL all the rest of my cattle and my negro man ..
