Indenture made November 23, 1786; John Turner, planter in consideration of 184 pounds 10 shillings current money paid by Samuel Godman and Humphrey Godman has sold part of a tract called the "Resurvey on part of Brashears Pocoson" containing 123 acres. Signed John Turner in the presence of and acknowledged before Joshua Beall, Richard Cramphin and at the same time Dorcas Turner wife of John Turner relinquished her right of dower
