George Conway, of Wicomoco Parish, LC, to Ephraim Hubbard, of Christ Church Parish, LC; for 55 pounds CMV; 220a, parcel in FM, RC, being part of a tract of land cont. 400a purchased by the said Conway of Mr. John Oldham, the other part of the said 400a sold by the said Conway to Mr. John Stott, the said 220a with all appurtenances. Joseph Chinn, Peater Conway and George Payne, Gent., of LC, appointed to go to Ann Conway the wife of George Conway and receive here acknowledgement. Returned 1 FEB 1748/9 by Peater Conway [sic] and George Payne, that they privately examined Ann Conway concerning her relinquishing her right of dower in a certain parcel of land in RC conveyed by the said George Conway to Ephraim Hubbard by deed dated 10 OCT 1748, and she declared it was that of her own free will.
