      - Administration is granted to Mrs. PHEBE SLOUGHTER upon all and singular the Estate of WILLIAM SLOUGHTER deced. she giving in security
      - This day PHOEBE SLOUGHTER together with Mr. SAML. PEACHEY and Mr. THOMAS GLASCOCK acknowledged themselves indebted to his Majesties Justices for this County in the sum of Twenty thousand pounds of tobo: to be paid unto the Justices or their assigns in case the said PHEBE shall not duly administer the Estate of WILLIAM SLOUGHTER her deced Husband comitted to her by this Court and render an account and surrender up the same unto whome it shall more properly belong when thereunto lawfully required
      - Ordered that Mr. THOMAS BAYLIS, EDWARD JONES, SAMUEL SAMFORD, JOHN JONES or any three of them do meet at the House of Mr. WM. SLAUGHTER late deced on Thursday next comesenight & do then and there Inventory and appraise all & singular the Estate of the sd deced and make report thereof under their hands in writing unto the said next Court held for this County. Mr, THOMAS GLASSCOCK is requested to meet at the same time and place aforesaid to administer an Oath unto the said appraisers for their due appraisement as also to the Administratrix for her due discovery of sd Est.

I William Travers of rappa County Gent, being weake and sick of body but of perfect sence Judgmt & memory Almight God be praised do make and appoint this to be my Last Will & Testament, revokeing all other former Wills whatsoever in manner & forme following: vizt
      Imprs I bequeath my soule to Almight God that gave it trusting that through the merits of his son and my deare Saviour Jesus Christ he will be pleased gratiously to receive it into his King dom there to live with him evermore and I committ my body to the ground to be decently buried.
      It I give and bequeath unto my dear Mother, Rebecca Rice, five thousand pounds of tobacco, during her natural life to be left in the hands of my brother Samuel Travers, to be at her disposall when she shall be pleased to call for it & after her death to return to my said brother: Samll Travers, & Rawleigh Travers theri heires executrs.
      It I bequeath unto my father in law John Rice, my riding horse with furniture.
      It I give to Katherine Reyley five hundred pounds of tobb: in caske
      It I give and bequeath unto Samll Robinson, son of Elias Robinson, one heifer whh is at the house of John Ballin with all her increase & if the said Samll shall die before he arrives to theage of twenty ethat then it shall return to the said Elias Robinson father of the said Samll.
      It I give and bequeath all the rest of my estate unto my two loveing brother Samll & Rawligh Travers, theri heires executrs Adminstrs forever equally to be divided between them.
      My will is that if my Father in law, Mr John Rice, pay fifteen thousand pounds of tobb. as part of my estate unto my said loveing brothers their heirs or order on the 10th day of March which will be in the year of our Lord 1687/8 that then he shall have the liberty to pay the remaying part from thence until the tenth day of October wch will be in the year of our Lord God 1689.
      It i do constitute and appoint my two loveing Brothers Samll & Rawleigh Travers my lawfull executrs of this my last Will and Testament. In witness where of I have hereunto sett my hand and fixed my seale the 14 day of February 1686/7

Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that Whereas the said HODGKINS in his life was seized in his own right of one fourth part or share of a certain Vessell or Shipp now or late rideing in RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER & known by the name of the LTITLE BERKLEY and beinge so thereof seized died. PEACHY of the Parish of Farnham and County of Rappae: aforesaid, Plantr., of the other part Witnesseth that the said FRANCIS SLAUGHTER & MARGARETT his Wife in consideration of Six thousand pounds of Merchantable tobacco in Cask paid or secured to be paid have sold unto said SAMLL: PEACHY his heires and assignes all that tract of land being betweene the plantation late in the occupation of Mr. GILES CALE deced and WILLIAM SLAUGHTER on the North side of and adjoyning to the River of Rappae: in the County aforesaid, conteyning Two hundred & Fifty acres and all houses orchards buildings standing or being upon the said land; Alsoe all woods Timber and trees & all other profits belonging now in the tenure of the said SAMLL.
