      THIS INDENTURE made this 18th August 1777 Between WILLIAM GREEN Son and Heir at Law of WILLIAM GREEN Gent Deceased and BETSEY his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and ANN GREEN of County aforesaid Witnesseth that whereas the said William Green Gent Deceased in his lifetime in Joint Partnership with a certain JOSEPH BURT purchased of GEORGE ROBERTS land in County aforesaid on South side of Mountain Run as by Deeds of Lease and Release the 5th and 6th of September 1768 and duly recorded in Court of Culpeper which the said Green deceased and the said Burt erected a WATER GRIST MILL and Whereas said William Green deceased afterwards purchased of said Joseph Burt his Moiety of the said land and Mill and premises belonging as by Deed from said Burt to said Green dated the 20th January 1770 duly recorded in said County Court of Culpeper and said William Green deceased dying without willing the said land and premises it of Law fell to William Green Son and heir at Law and party hereto NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that said William Green and Betsey his Wife for the sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds current money paid by the said Ann Green do sell unto said Ann Green her heirs the land containing one hundred and eighty four acres bounded Begining at two white oak saplins on the bank of Mountain Run by the mouth of a gully South to a hickory saplin in an Island of thorny branches thence North to two hikories by thorny branch standing among rocks South to three white oaks by a small PATH thence North to two Box Oaks in the line between GEORGE ROBERTS and the land of Mr. JACKSON thence with said line North to a white oak
      standing on the bank of Mountain Run to the Begining .

      THIS INDENTURE made 20th July 1778 Between ANN GREEN & WILLIAM GREEN and BETTY his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and GEORGE CARTER of County of STAFFORD of other part Witnesseth that said Ann Green and William Green and Bettey his Wife for sum seven hundred pounds current money have granted unto said George Carter his heirs forever One hundred and eighty four acres of land and bounded begining at two dogwood Saplins on the bank of Mountain Run by the mouth of a Gulley thence South to two hikories by Thorny Branch standing among rocks to three white oaks by a small PATH North to two box oaks in line between GEORGE ROBERTS land the land of Mr. JACKSON with the said NORTH to a white oak standing on the bank of Mountain Run thence to the Begining . .

      THIS INDENTURE made the Eleventh day of September in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Between WILLIAM GREEN &ELIZABETH his Wife of County of Culpeper and State of Virginia of one part and THOMAS LILLARD of the County & State aforesd. of other part Witnesseth that WILLIAM GREEN &ELIZABETH his Wife for sum of Twenty one pounds fifteen Shillings Specie to them in hand paid have bargained & sold unto THOMAS LILLARD his heirs a certain tract of land containing Ten acres One hundred & forty pole lying in County aforesaid adjoining to the said THOMAS LILLARD & Coll. WM. THORNTON and is bounded Begining at a white Oak & Maple on a Branch and runing thence North three degrees East fourteen pole to a Sycamore & Chesnut on the said branch in the said GREENS line, the with his line South seventy one degrees East thirty four pole between two white Oaks and one Hickory, Colo. W. THORNTONs Corner, the with his line South Twenty seven degrees East forty six poles to a red Oak in the said line Th: South eighty seven degrees West twenty eight pole to a white Oak, Th: North thirty five West to the begining with all Estate, right Title & Interest whatsoever thereunto belonging and WILLIAM GREEN and ELIZABETH his Wife and their heirs will warrant and by these presents defend the said Land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto THOMAS LILLARD his heirs In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands & Seals the day and year above written

      THIS INDENTURE made this 16th day of August in year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred & Eighty four Between JOHN GREEN Gent:, only acting Executor of the Last Will and Testament of WILLIAM GREEN, late of County of Culpeper deceased Gent. and WILLIAM GREEN Gent., Eldest Son & Heir at Law of the said WILLIAM GREEN the Elder deced, and ANN GREEN, Widow and Relict of said Deceadent of one part and MARY CHAMPE of said County of other part Whereas WILLIAM GREEN deceased by his last Will and Testament in writing made bearing date the Twenty fourth day of August One thousand seven hundred & sixty three and duly recorded in County Court of Culpeper did among other things therein mentioned empower & request his Executors therein named (of whom the said JOHN GREEN Gent. is the only acting person) to borrow money at Interest, Mortgage or sell any of his unintailed lands or otherwise act as they might think fit for the payment of his Just Debts and Legacies & for the Interest of his Wife and Children. NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that JOHN GREEN by virtue of the powers given him by the said Will, and WILLIAM GREEN & ELIZABETH his Wife for and in consideration of sum of One hundred & five pounds current money to him in hand paid by MARY CHAMPE, which was the best price had, by these presents doth bargain and sell unto MARY CHAMPE her heirs all that tract of land granted by Patent from the Proprietors dated the 19th day of May 1748 to ROBERT GREEN deced and which descended to the said WILLIAM GREEN and is bounded Begining at two white Oaks by the side of LANDRUMS RUN, Corner to the land of JOHN POPHAM and likewise Corner to land formerly WILLIAM DUFFS (now the said GREENs) and extending along GREENs line North nine degrees East three hundred and forty poles to a Poplar in the Fork of a Branch in said GREENs line, thence North eighty five degrees West One hundred & sixty poles to two Poplars and a Chesnut in a hollow making down from the RAGGED MOUNTAIN, thence South eight degrees West Three hundred and forty four poles to a large white Oak and Chesnut on a Rocky Hill side near the said LANDRUMS RUN, thence South eighty two degrees East one hundred & fifty four poles to the Begining and containing by late Survey.thereof made by SAMUEL CLAYTON Gent., Three hundred and fifty six acres be the same more or less Together with all Improvements and advantages thereunto belonging To have and to hold unto MARY CHAMPE and JOHN GREEN, MARY GREEN & WILLIAM GREEN & ELIZABETH his Wife by these presents doth convey unto MARY CHAMPE a fee simple Estate in said land free and clear of all Incumbrances (Except the Dower of said ANN GREEN) and ANN GREEN doth hereby relinquish all her right & title of Dower to the same unto MARY CHAMPE her heirs and doth warrant & will defend the title thereof In Witness whereof the said JOHN GREEN & ANN GREEN have hereunto set their hands & Seals the day and year first above written

      ARTICLES of AGREEMENT entered into this Twenty third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty six Between WILLIAM GREEN, Son of WILLIAM GREEN Gent., deced., and BETSEY his Wife of the County of Culpeper of the one part and JOHN GREEN JUNR. of the County of FAUQR: of the other part; Whereas the said JOHN GREEN JR., has undertaken for himself his heirs to be at all expences and trouble that shall or may accrue by menas of Law suits or otherwise, for the more affectual recovery of the Lands and Damages to which the said WILLIAM GREEN is supposed heir or heir in Reversion, except the tract lying on HUGHS's RIVER and adjoining WM. CHAMPs MILL, in consideration whereof the said WILLIAM GREEN and BETSEY his Wife do bind themsefres their heirs to make good and sufficient Deeds in the Law to the said JOHN GREEN JUNR., his heirs for one full half and equal moiety of the said lands so soon as they shall be in actual possession of the same and in case Damages should be recovered, they shall be divided in the same proportion, In Witness whereof both parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written
