      "In the name of God Amen, I, Hannah Brent of the County of Stafford and Parish of Overwharton being sick and weak of body but in perfect and sound memory, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following this is to say. First and principally I commit my soul to Almighty God my blessed Creator my body to the earth, there to be decently buried according to the directions of my Ex'r, hereinafter named. All my debts lawfully contracted I desire may be lawfully and justly paid and then what worldly estate it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose of as follows:
      Imprimis. I give and bequeath to my loving son Charles Brent four bushels of wheat.
      Item. I give and bequeath to my loving son Hugh Brent one sorrel mare named Fly.
      Item. I give to my loving son George Brent one English colt, out of the Sorrel Mare.
      Item. I give to my loving daughter Anne Brent one bay horse colt.
      Item. I give to my loving daughter Catherine Wren five shillings current money.
      Item. I give to my daughter Mary Lewis five shillings current money.
      Item. All the rest of my estate I give to my loving sons William Brent and George Brent to be eqully divided between them.
      Lastly, I nominate and appoint my loving son Hugh Brent Ex'r of this my last will and testament.
      In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 4th day of Feby in the year of our Lord 1762. Hannah Brent, Seal

      Will of James Innis Dec. 25, 1709.
      I, James Innis of the County of Richmond, Virginia being sick of body but of sound memory do make this my last will and testament. First my soul I committ to God who is its life and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and my body I desire may be buried in decent manner by my wife or Executrix.
      Secondly, I give to my daughter Sarah, the mulatto child Moll, one feather bed with its furniture and three cows.
      Item. I give unto my daughter Elizabeth the land I took up lately on the fall run, and to her heirs forever. I give her also two cows and one thousand pounds of Tobacco_
      Item. I give unto my daughter Hannah one cow and five hundred pounds of tobacco.
      Item. I give unto my son Enoch the plantation where I now dwell with all the lands thereunto belonging beginning at the mouth of the run on the river side running up the said run to the fork then up the eastern branch of the said run in a direct line to the northwest corner of my land, being a red and a white oake, near a great Rock, to him and his heirs forever.
      Item. To my son James I give all the remainder of my land lying between the said eastern branch the main run and Mr. Jacksons land, to him and to his heirs forever.
      Item. My will is that the said land be rented out till he becomes to the age of eighteen years with conditions of planting orchard's and leaving it tenantable.
      Item. My will is that all the rest of my estate be equally divided between my son Enoch and my son James and that if either of them dye before they come of age that the survivor have the whole unless they have children._
      Item. I appoint my daughter Sarah to execute this my last will and testament and so order and appoint her to set my servant Hugh Matler free two years before his full time by the judgment of the Court be out. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seale to this my last will and testament.

      Item My will is that if either of my sons dye before he come of age and leave no children then I give the land given to him to the survivor and his heirs forever, and if they should both dye before they come of age, or have children then I give all the said lands to my daughter Sarah and her heirs forever.
      Lastly I give my Gray horse to my wife.
