Feb 11, 1748/49 from James Watson of PG, planter, to John Brightwell of PG, son and heir at law of Peter Brightwell, late of PG, planter, deed, Whereas the afd James Watson, by his deed dated Mar 21, 1739, sold to the afd Peter Brightwell, part of a tract of land formerly called Poplar Hills but now called Cole Brooke, situated in PC, containing about 120 acres, but whereas it appears that some of the courses in the afd deed, intended to circumscribe the afd 120 acres of land, are false and erroneous and not according to the intent and meaning of the sd parties. this deed therefore further witnesses that the sd James Watson, for 25£sterling, grants to sd Peter Brightwell, the 120 acres of land, beginning at the end of the 1st line of a parcel of land sold to James Nailor out of the afd land.
Signed - James II his mark) Watson. Wit - James Russell, FS Waring'. This deed was ack, by sd James Watson to John Brightwell (agreeable to the will of his father). At the same time came Elizabeth Watson, wife to the sd James Watson, relinquished her right of dower to the within mentioned lands. Recorded Mar 6, 1748/49.

I John Brightwell in consideration of 800 pounds crop tobacco paid before December 25th next do sell unto Theodore Venable, planter, 2 heifers, 2 sows and pigs.
