      KNOW ALL MEN by these p:sents that wee MARY STONE, JOHN BRYAN & CHARLES DODSON of ye County of Richmd. are held & firmly bound unto ye Worshipfull his Maties: Justices of ye Peace for sd: County in the full & just sume of One hundred pounds Sterl:, to the wch: payment well & truly to be made we bind our selves our heirs firmly by these presents; Sealed wth: our Seales & Dated ye 1st day of April 1719
      THE CONDITION of this obligation is such that if ye above bound MARY STONE, Admrx, of all ye goods chattles ac creditts of JOSHUA STONE deced., doe make a true & perfect Inventory of all ye goods chattles & creditts of ye sd: deced., And the same so made do eihibiu into the County Court of Richmond at such time as she shall be thereto required by sd: Court, And the same goods chattles & credius shall well & truly administer according to Law; And further do make a just and true Accot: of her actings and doings therein when thereto required by sd: Court, and shall pay & deliver unto such persons respectively as the Justices by their order of judgmt, shall direct pursuant to the Laws in that case made and provided; And if it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will & Testamt, was made by ye sd: deced., and the Exr, or Exrs, therein named doe exhibitt the same in said Court makeing request to have it allowed and approved, accordingly if the sd: MARY STONE being thereunto required do render & deliver up her Letters of Admon: approbation of such Testamt: being first had and made in sd: Court; then this obligation to be void & of none effect, otherwise to remain in full force & vertue

      MARY STONE, Relict of JOSHUA STONE, deced., came into Court and made Oath that the said JOSHUA STONE departed this life without makeing any Will soe farr as she knows or believes, and on her Petition and giveing security for her just and faithfull administration of the Decedent's Estate, Certificate is granted her for obtaining Letters of Administration in due forme

      MARY STONE, JOHN BRYAN and CHARLES DODSON came into Court and acknowledged their Bond for MARY STONE's just and faithfull administration of the Estate of JOSHUA STONE, deced., which is ordered to be recorded

      JOHN WILLIAMS, JOHN HARRIS, HUGH HARRIS and THOMAS DEW, or any three of them, sometime between this and the next Court are appointed to appraise all and singular the Estate of JOSHUA STONE, deced., which shall be presented to their view, in money, and make report thereof to the said next Court. WILLIAM DOWNMAN, Gent., or any other Justice of the Peace for this County, is requested to administer an Oath to the Appraisers for their true appraisment of the Decedent's Estate as also to MARY STONE, the Administratrix, for her true discovery thereof

      THIS INDENTURE made the fourth day of March Annoque Dom: one thousand seven hundred and eleven and in the (blank) yeare of the Reigne of our most Gracious Sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Brittaine, Oueene Defender of the faith &c Betweene WILLIAM STONE of Parish of Farnham in County of (omitted) Planter, of one part and JOSHUA STONE of the Parish and County aforesaid of other part; Wittnesseth that WILLIAM STONE in consideration of the sume of Two thousand pounds of good Tobacco in Caske to him in hand paid by JOSHUA STONE, by these presents doth bargaine sell and confirme unto JOSHUA STONE his heirs one parcel' of land containing Fifty acres or thereabouts be the same more or less scituate in the Parish and County aforesaid and begining att a Ash standing in the mouth of a Branch commonly called BEACHS BRANCH in ROBERT BEDWELLs Line, and running up the said Branch to the head thereof; from thence along the Path that leads from Mr. GLASCOCKS MILL to Mr. ANDREW DEW, to a Mulberry tree that stands att the head of a Branch that leads downe to the Swamp where they use to go over from sd. JOSHUA STONE to PETER ELLIS, thence down the said Swamp to said ROBERT BEDWELLs line, thence along BEDWELLs Line to the aforesaid Ash, the begining tree, which Fifty acres of land be the same more or less which Land being part of a greater devident by Patent granted to the aforesaid BEDWELL, the aforesaid Fifty acres as also all erections or buildings on the Land with all other the rights members profitts and appurtenances to the said premises belonging; To have and to hold the parcell of land containing fifty acres more or less to JOSHUA STONE his heirs against WILLIAM STONE his heirs and all persons clayming from !him shall warrant and for ever defend by these presents; subject nevertheless the Quitrents that shall henceforth grow due to the Cheife Lords or Proprietors thereof; In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my seale the day and year first within written

      MEMORANDUM: The fourth day of March Anno Dom: one thousand seven hundred and eleven entered into the Capetall Messuage and tooke possession thereof & also took Turf and Twigg on the land within granted and then presently after delivered possession and seisin thereby of the plantation lands and premises according to the tenor effect and true meaning of the within Deed of Grant and Sale unto JOSHUA STONE , Wittness his hand the day and year above written in presence of us
