      IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Richard Omohundro of the County of Fairfax being very sick and weak of body but of perfect and sound mind and memory and understanding, thanks be to God for it, make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (Viz) first and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the ground there to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named.
      Item I give to my daughter Mary Penson one Negro Girl named Bridget during her, and her husband Joseph Penson' natural life, my said daughter Mary, or her said husband, paying to my daughter Sarah, half what the Negro Girl shall be appraised to (after the death of my wife Ann Omohundro) two
      years. And after the death of the said Mary Penson and her husband the said Negro Girl and her Increase to go to their son Richard Omohundro Penson, to him and his heirs of his body lawfully begotten, and if he should die without heir, to go to the next Male child of the said Mary Penson and for want of such Male child to be equally divided amongst all the children of the said Mary Penson. Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth one Negro man named Dick, to her and the heirs of her body lawfully begotten forever.
      Item I desire that my wife Ann Omohundro may have half what the said Negro man and Negro girl shall make of tobacco, corn fodder, wheat and every thing else, and my daughter Elizabeth the other half during the natural life of my said wife Ann Omohundro and that the said negro shall do anything that my said wife shall want done.
      Item I desire that my wife Ann Omohundro may not be disturbed of doing anything upon the plantation and that she shall have the best house upon the plantation to her own proper use during her natural life.
      Item I give to my wife Ann Omohundro one young black horse during her natural life and after her decease to go to William Remey.
      I give to my daughter Elizabeth one young Mare called Sugar.
      Item I give to my daughter Jane one Bay Mare.
      Item I give to my daughter Sarah one Black Mare called Fille.
      Item I desire that my bay horse may be sold to the highest bidder to help to pay my debts.Item I give to Joseph Penson one three year old Steer and one Iron Pott which is at Benjamin Remeys and my New Suit of Cloaths Coat wastcoat and Bretches, he paying George Dunbar Eighteen Shillings for the making of the said Cloaths and one gun.
      Item I have a young stear that came of a cow called Goodluck to be raised upon the plantation to the age of about six years and then sold and the money to be bestowed on the schooling of my daughter Mary Pensons Son Richard Omohundro Penson when he shall be of the age of Eleven or Twelve Years to be schooled as long as the money the said Stear shall be sold for will pay for.
      Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth the plantation I now live and the bed I now lie on with furniture thereto belonging.
      Item I give to my daughter Jane the bedd and bedd Cloaths which is in the kitchen after my wifes death and the said bed and cloaths to be kept in good repair till she has it delivered to her as good as it now is, and one cow and calf after my wifes death.
      Item I give to my daughter Sarah the bed and bed cloaths which lies under the bed my wife lies on after my wifes death the said to be then delivered to her with bed cloaths suitable and one cow and calf after my wifes death. Item I give to my son William Omohundro one shilling.
      Item I give to William Grove one pair fustain Britches and one pair of britches not made which is cut out in my chest.
      Item I leave to my daughter Elizabeth all the rest of my personal estate she paying to my daughter Jane fifteen pounds Currant money two years after the death of my wife Ann Omohundro.
      Item I leave Joseph Penson and my daughter Elizabeth Omohundro whole and sole executors of this my last will and Testament, IN WITNESS WHERE OF I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 12th day of July, Anno Domini 1745

      This last Will and Testament of Richard Omohundro Dece'd was presented in Court by Joseph Penson and Elizabeth Omohundro the Executors therein named who made oath thereto according to law. And the same is proved by Jacob Remey and William Grove two of the witnesses thereto, who made oath that they saw Sarah Remey the other witness thereto Subscribed Sign the same, And admitted to Record. And on Motion of the said Executors and their per forming what is usual in such cases, certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.

Washington, southerly upon a great swamp commonly called the quarter swamp dividing this from the land of John Sanford ... with all privileges of hawking, hunting, fishing and fowling.

Richard doth agree that Thomas shall have all the old plantation and land adjoyning to it which lieth on the north side of a branch which divides the said very near into two equal parts and that Richard shall claime all that part of the land which lieth on the south side of the branch.

SANFORDs up the County so to extend along the said Road as far as WASHINGTONs PATH, thence Westerly upon the Land of LAWRENCE WASHINGTON, Southerly upon a a Great Swamp called the QUARTER SWAMP, finally down the Swamp to the Branch first mentioned dividing this from the Land of JOHN SANFORD, which parcel of land including the Plantation were given and conveyed to RICHARD OMOHUNDRO by his Grand Father, WILLIAM MOXLEY, as appears by a Deed thereof by WILLIAM MOXLEY acknowledged in legal form in the Court of the County aforesaid bearing date the Eighth day of May one thousand seven hundred and thirteen being recorded in the said County Records may more fully appear; And all the houses orchards profits and appurtenances belonging; To have and to hold the land and premises with appurtenances unto THOMAS CHILTON his heirs during the term of one whole year paying therefore the rent of one Pepper Corn upon the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel if lawfully demanded, to the intent that by virtue of these presents and by force of the Statute for transferring of uses into possession, THOMAS CHILTON may be in the actual possession of the premises and thereby be enabled to accept a release of the inheritance thereof to him and his heirs; In Witness whereof RICHARD OMOHUNDRO hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day month and year first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the 26th day of October in the Sixteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., And in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty two; Between RICHARD OMOHUNDRO of Parish of Cople in County of Westmoreland, Planter, of one part and THOMAS CHILTON of the same Parish and County, Gentleman, of other part; Witnesseth that RICHARD OMOHUNDRO in consideration of the sum of Twelve thousand pounds of transfer tobo: to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof RICHARD OMOHUNDRO doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain sell and release unto THOMAS CHILTON (in his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made for one year and by force of the Statute for transferring of uses into possession), all that parcel of land including the Plantation whereon RICHARD OMOHUNDRO now liveth scituate in Parish and County aforesaid and bounded (the bounds of the land and the passing of the land repeated as in the Lease) To have and to hold the land and premises with appurtenances unto THOMAS CHILTON his heirs; without the interruption of RICHARD OMOHUNDRO his heirs freed and discharged from and sufficient saved and kept harmless and indemnified from all incumbrances, the Rents and Services due for the premises to the Lord or
