      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that wee ANN DOWNMAN, Wife of WILLIAM DOWNMAN. of Pish of Farnham in Richmond County doe constitute and appoint my Trusty Friend, WILLIAM BROCKENBROUGH to be my lawfull Attorney for me and in my name to relinquish all my right of Dower of a certain Water Mill with the land belonging thereto sould by my Husband to WILLIAM STONE, and what my Attorney shall doe in the premises I will rattifye and allow of as well as if my selfe were personally present; Given under my hand this 3d. day of June 1729

      THIS INDENTURE made the Third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty nine and in the Second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain &c., Between WILLIAM DOWNMAN of Parrish of Northfarnham in Richmond County of one part and WILLIAM STONE of the Pish and County aforesaid of other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM DOWNMAN in consideracon of Eight thousands pounds of tobacco paid him by WILLIAM STONE, the receipt whereof WILLIAM DOWNMAN doth acknowledge himselfe therewith fully paid; hath and doe by these presents bargain and sell unto WILLIAM STONE his heirs one certain Water Mill with all the land helnn ging and the appurtenances scituate in Parrish and County abovesaid; To have and to hold the Water Mill with all rights titles and Interest thereunto belonging and WILLIAM DOWNMAN his heirs doth covenant with WILLIAM STONE his heirs to warrant save harmless and defend the Mill and appurtenaces to WILLIAM STONE his heirs against the claime and demand of every person; In Witness whereof the parties above menconed to these presents have interchangeably sett their hands and seals the day and year first above written

      WILLIAM DOWNMAN came into Court and acknowledged this his Deed and Livery of Seizen hereon endorsed unto WILLIAM STONE which was admitted to Record, also WM. BROCKENBROUGH by vertue of a Power of Attorney from ANN DOWNMAN, the Wife of the said WILLIAM DOWNMAN, to him in that behalfe made, relinquished her the said ANN DOWNMANs Right of Dower in the Mill and Land conveyed in this Deed unto WILLIAM
