COB#2, Page 607 : 3 February 1748/9 = Administration on the estate of Mary Fishpool, deceased, is granted to William Brockenbrough and on the same day he gave bond in the sum of £1,000 Current Money as her administrator with John Champe, Gent., his security. [BB#3, Page 83]. On 3 February 1748/ 1749 he returned an inventory of her estate and same was recorded in I;#2, Page 42-44.       In the Name of God Amen: I Arthur Spicer of King George County do make my Will in manner and form following (viz)
      Imprimis: I give and bequeath unto my Godson Austin Brockenbrough, son of William Brockenbrough, the following Negroes - Ned, Aaron, Charles, Jenny, Grace, Judith and all my tract of land commonly called Poplar Neck and all the lands thereunto adjoining to him and his heirs forever.
      Item: All the rest of my estate both real and personal I give to my brother William Brockenbrough and his heirs forever.
      Item: I constitute the said William Brockenbrough sole and whole executor of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this 6th day of January 1748.

      The last Will and Testament of Arthur Spicer, Deceased, was presented into Court by William Brockenbrough his Executor who made oath thereto and the same was proved by the oaths of William Degges, John Beale and Richard Neale and admitted to record, the said Executors having with John Champe, Gent., entred into Bond in the sum of one thousand pounds for the same.
