      To all persons .. whereas JOHN THOMAS of Orange County made to us the Subscribers a Deed of Trust .. of one tract of land, five Negroes with sundry stock and household furniture for payment of a Debt for sale and separate life support and maintenance of his wife, MILDRED THOMAS, we will not sell or convey away .. or dispose of any part further than shall be sufficient to pay John Thomas's just debts .. we will faithfully discharge of the Trust to Mildred and be accountable to her .. 27th October 1770 ..

Tract of 177 acres land whereon John Thomas now lives .. five Negro slaves (named), horse, Cattle .. for purposes .. to rent out, lease or hire out said lands .. to pay John Thomas's just debts .. and separate support of Mildred Thomas, wife to the said John Thomas, during her natural life. Lastly all stocks, goods, moneys left at time of death of Mildred to be equally divided among all John Thomas's children that shall be alive at that time ..
