      Aug 11, 1724 from Michael Shackalet (Shalalet) of CC, planter, & Elizabeth, his wife, the daughter of Mary Campbell, the daughter of Eliza Dermon who was sister and heiress of Robert Downes Sr & heir of Robt Downes, the 1st purchaser of the land called Cowspring, to Joseph Harrison (son of Richard Harrison) of CC, for 17,400 lbs of tobacco and for divers other good causes, all that tract of land at Nanjemy [Cr] in CC upon Potomack River side, called Cowspring or Coolespring, bounded by the woods, containing and laid out for about 400 acres.
