      In testimony that John Read Magruder, Gentleman on April 2, 1779, advertised at the court house door agreeable to a resolve of the honorable house of senators made October session 1778 that he would prefer his petition to the next general assembly for and act to confirm a deed conveyed by Richard Jones and Ann Jones his wife to Edward Willett on January 22, 1711 for part of a tract called "Good Luck" containing 100 acres. I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the public seal of the county aforesaid this June 1, 1779, Hugh Lyon, deputy clerk
      in pursuance of the aforegoing certificate and petition therein mentioned and act of general assembly passed July session 1779 for confirming and recording the following deed. This indenture made January 22, 1711 in the 10th year of the reign of our sovereign lady Ann by grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith between Richard Jones of PGCo, planter and Ann Jones his wife of one part and Edward Willett of the aforesaid County and province, pewterer of the other part. Witnessed that Richard Jones and Ann Jones his wife in consideration of 17,784 pounds of good sound merchantable leaf tobacco and cask paid by Edward Willett has sold all the dwelling plantation now called "Dear Bought" lying on the west side of the Western Branch of Patuxent River in the woods it being a part of a tract called "Good Luck" now in the tenure and occupation of the widow Sarah Magruder and containing 100 acres.
