      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we JOHN and MARY BROACK of the County of NEW KENT in the Colony of Virginia having received of EDWARD THOMAS of the County of Rappa and Colony aforesaid a valuable consideration to content do for us our heires grant and confirme unto EDWARD THOMAS his heires forever all our right and interest of the within menconed Devidend of land containing Three hundred and fifty acres it being the one moyety of a Patent of Seven hundred acres bearing date 19th of 7ber 1684 with all the houses and buildings upon the land with all woods Timbers growing upon the said Dividend with profits and advantages to the same belonging unto the said EDWARD THOMAS forever and wee the said JOHN and MARY BROACK do for us warrant and grant that the said Plantation of land is free and cleere and kept harmless from all manner of former sales and that the said EDWARD THOMAS shall peaceably and quietly hold and enjoy the sd Plantation from any persons lawfully laying any claime under us or any other persons Witness our hands and seales this 3rd day of October 1685 in the first yeare of the Reigne of James the second &c.
