THIS INDENTURE made this twenty fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Fifty Between WILLIAM BUNBURY of the County of STAFFORD of one part & HUMPHRY ARNOLD of the County of Prince William of the other part Witnesseth that the said WM. BUNBURY hath granted to farm lett a tract of land containing One hundred & fifty acres in the County of Prince William bounded beginning at a white Oak Corner of COLO, LEEs & DENICE CONNERs and running South East to the beginning for the rents & duties hereafter mentioned & for and during the space of the natural lives of him the said HUMPHREY ARNOLD & ANNE his Wife & ISAAC his Son or the longest liver of them To Have and To Hold ye said tenements & premises to him the said HUMPHREY ARNOLD during the term aforesaid paying unto said WM. BUNBURY or his assigns Five hundred & thirty pounds of good sound Merchantable Lawful! Tobo at or upon ye Eighteenth day of October yearly during the said Term and if the yearly rent be unpaid twenty days after if same be Lawfully demanded that then it may be Lawful! for sd WM BUNBURY to enter the sd Tract of land & make distress until! said Rent be lawfully paid & further ye sd WM, BUNBURY doth agree wth ye sd HUMPHREY ARNOLD that he or they shall have Liberty to work but only four servants or Slaves & himself or an Overseer & that HUMPHREY ARNOLD shall not have Liberty to sell or make waist of any Timber & further doth agree that they shall have benefit of ye Tenement during ye space of three years from the Eighteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred &Fifty One before the said yearly rent becomes due. THIS INDENTURE made this Twentieth day of May in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Between SAMUEL PORTER and EVE his Wife & ISAAC ARNOLD and MOLLEY his Wife of County of FAUQUIER in the Commonwealth of Virginia of one part and DAVID RENO of County of PRINCE WILLIAM and Commonwealth aforesaid of other part Witnesseth that SAMUEL PORTER and EVE his Wife and ISAAC ARNOLD and MOLLY his Wife for sum of Two hundred pounds Specie in hand paid by DAVID RENO by these presents do bargain and sell unto DAVID RENO his heirs all that tract of land lying in County of Culpeper in the Little Fork of RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER which the said SAMUEL PORTER purchased of FRANCIS THORNTON & ANN his Wife by Indenture bearing date the Eighth day of April One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine and duly recorded in County Court of Culpeper containing Eight hundred acres & bounded agreeable to a Patent thereof granted to the REVEREND JOHN THOMPSON bearing date the Twenty eighth day of October One thousand seven hundred & forty nine from the Proprietors Office To have and to hold the said Tract of land with the appurtenances hereby granted unto DAVID RENO his heirs and SAMUEL PORTER & ISAAC ARNOLD and their heirs will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof SAMUEL PORTER and EVE his Wife and ISAAC ARNOLD and MOLLY his Wife have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written
