      Sep 19, 1723 from Richard Beale, son of Jno Beale by Eleanor Bean, daughter of Walter Bean, of CC, to Jno Diggs of Prince Georges County, gent, for 5 shillings, 2 tracts of land, that is to say, a tract of land called Durham, originally granted on or about Sep 7, 1666, unto Walter Bean of CC, decd, lying in CC on the east side of the Fresh Run of Portobacco Cr, containing 750 acres. Also, one other tract of land called Durham [sic], originally granted on or about Jun 5, 1676, unto Eleanor Bean,daughter of sd Walter Bayne, & mother of Richd, party to these presents,bounded by an Indian Path, containing 400 acres.       Oct 30, 1724 from Jno Beale Sr of CC, gent, to Richard Beal of CC, gent, for and in consideration that the afd Rich has, by his deed dated today, conveyed to sd John Beale 2 tracts of land in CC called Durham and for 5 shillings and for divers other good causes, Jno sells to Richard all that dividend or part of a tract of-land in CC called his Lordps favour, containing, by patent, 1000 acres. Sd tract was divided and laid out by Joseph Manning, late surveyor of CC. If it should happen (at any time during the natural life of sd John Beale) that Mr. Jno Digges or any other person claiming by from or under him should legally recover from sd John Beale, one of the tracts of land aforementioned (to wit) that tract whereon sd Jno Beale now lives called Durham, and that the sd Jno Beale should be forced by sd Jno Digges or any other claiming, as afd, to remove from off the same, then it may be lawful to and farther aid Jno Beale into part of the land hereby sold, that is to say, all that part thereof that lies on the north side of Thomson Branch, to reenter and the same to possess.       Dec 25, 1724 from Richd Beale of CC, planter, to Wm Middleton of CC, planter, for 15,000 lbs of tobacco and for divers other good causes, all that parcel of land in CC called his Lordships favour, bounded by the Dressing Branch, Thompsons Branch, containing and laid out for about 300 acres. If it should happen (at any time during the natural life of Jno Beale, father of the afd Richard Beale) that Mr. John Digges or any other person claiming under him, should legally recover from the afd John Beale a tract of land called Durham, whereon the sd John Beale now lives, and that the sd John Beale should be forced by sd John Digges to remove from the same, then it shall be lawful for sd John Beale, into the land hereby bargained and sold, to reenter & the same to possess in as full a manner as if these presents

      At the request of John Pidgon of CC, ;the following lease was recorded this Jan 15, 1724.
      Nov 10, 1724 from Richard Beale of CC, planter, to Jno Pigion of CC, planter, & Joan, his wife, the lease of part of the parcel of land called his Lordships favour, now in the possession of the sd Beale, situated on the west side of Zachia Swamp. Sd John Pigion is to have that part that lies on the Dressing Branch between Richard Willson's Quarter & a small branch that runs up by the old plantation and with sd branch until it intersects the line that divides sd Richd Beale's land & Richard Wilson's, containing about 50 acres. John Pidgeon shall have free liberty to cut down any timber or timber trees for the use of the sd land (viz, for building, fencing, or tobacco hogsheads). This is a 10 year lease, to commence from Dec 25 next. The rent is 5000 lbs of tobacco in cask, 2500 this year, and 2500 the next. Signed - Richard Beale. Wit - Geo Dent*, Robt Hanson.

      At the request of Wm Tubb of CC, the following [lease] was recorded this Nov 14, 1726.
      [Blank month and year], 1726 from Richard Beale of CC, Gent, to Wm Tubb of CC, planter, for the yearly rents and services hereafter expressed and for divers other causes, the lease of a parcel of land at Zachiah [Swamp] in CC on the west side of a branch commonly called Thompsons Branch of the said land called his Lordships favour, and contains 100 acres. This is a 10 year lease. The yearly rent is 600 lbs of tobacco, to be paid on sd plantation, and also, Tubb is to plant 100 apple trees and to keep them well fenced.

      Aug 14, 1727 from Richd Beale of CC, planter (sd Beale, now resident in Essex County, Virginia), to John Ebernethy in CC, innkeeper, for 12,000 lbs of tobacco, all that parcel of land, being part of a tract in CC called his"Lordships favour, bounded by sd Richard Beale's and William Middleton's parts of sd tract, the land called Thompsons Branch, containing and now laid out for about 200 acres.       Charles County, Maryland Liber L#2, Page 452. At the request of John Ebernethy of CC, innholder, the following deed was recorded this Jan 13, 1728.

      Sep 30, 1728 from Richd Beale, late of CC, Gent, to Jno Eburnathy in CC, innkeeper. Sd Rich Beale, son to Jno Beale of CC, by his deed dated Aug 14, 1727, conveyed a certain parcel of land in CC to the sd John Eburnathy, called his Lord hips favour, bounded by the dividing tree of the sd Rich Beale's & William Middleton's parts of the sd tract, Thompsons branch, containing and now laid out for about 200 acres. Since the date of the sd recited deed, sd Rich Beale has conveyed to sd John Ebernathy, for 25 £, all the remaining part of or any ways belonging to the sd tract of land called his Lordships favour. Now this deed witnesses that sd Richard Beale, now a resident in Essex County, Virginia, for 12,000 lbs of tobacco in cask, being the consideration of the first recited deed, as by the records of CC may appear, and since the date of the first recited deed, sd John Eburnathy has to him in hand paid 25 £, for and in full payment of the within mentioned land and premises, sd Richard Beale has sold to sd John Eburnathy, all that parcel of land, being part of a tract lying in CC called his Lordships favour, lying at Zachiah [Swamp], bounded by Wm Middleton's part of the sd tract which he formerly bought of sd Richard Beale, standing in Thompsons branch containing and laid out for about 340 acres.       THIS INDENTURE made the 29th/thirtyeth day of March 1728 Between RICHARD JOHNSON of Essex County Southfarnham Parish of one part & RICHARD BEALLE of said County & Parish Witnesseth that for sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling and one thousand pounds of good Tobacco the said Richard Johnson doth confirm unto said Richard Beale and unto his heirs all the Plantation & Land where the said Richard Johnson now liveth at the time of the delivery of these presents containing 64 acres formerly purchased by the said Richard Johnson of one RICHARD JONES of said County & Parish as will appear upon Records all which Plantation are now in actual possession of said Richard Beale by Virtue of bargain and sale bearing date the day before the date of these presents and by Virtue of the Statute for transferring uses into Possession.
