THIS INDENTURE made the Fifteenth/Sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord God according to the Computation now used in the Church of Great Britain 1724 Between THOMAS MOORE Taylor & ELIZABETH his Wife of Southfarnham Parish in ye County of Essex & RICHARD GATEWOOD of parish & County aforesd Planter WITNESSETH that the said Thomas Moore & Elizabeth his Wife for sum of thirty and five pounds Sterl Money of great Britain to them paid by these presents have granted unto the said Richard Gatewood in his actual possession now being of the premises hereinafter mentioned by Virtue of Indenture of bargain and sale to him thereof made bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these presents & by the Statute for transferring uses into possession assigns all that tract of land contayning 80 acres beginning at three mark't trees Vizt a white oak, hickory & red oak that divides the said land from the Land of RICHARD GRIGORY & running from thence up the OLD MILL ROAD to two red oaks & from thence down a Valley cross a branch to a Gum thence over a branch to three corner red oaks & from thence to the Tann Yard branch & from thence up the branch to a mark's tree & so along a line of mark't trees to the first beginning all which said premises are on the North West side of the MAIN ROAD & now in possession of said Thomas Moore and Elizabeth his wife or
their assigns . .

THIS INDENTURE made the XIth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Forty three Between THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH MOORE, Wife of the said THOMAS MOORE, of the County of Essex and Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM of the one part and JAMES JONES of the County and Parish aforesaid of the other part; Witnesseth that the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife for the summ of Sixty six pounds current money of Virginia hall granted unto the abovesaid JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever all that parcel of Land containing One hundred acres more or less which included the bounds hereafter mentioned and lying and being on the South side of a Road leading from PISCATTAWAY FERRY to the UPPER CHURCH in the aforesaid Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM, and some part of the said Land lies on the South side of a Road leading out of the aforesaid FERRY ROAD to PISCATAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE being the Land and Plantation whereon the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife formerly dwelt and left to the said ELIZABETH by her Father, RICHARD GRIGORY deced., by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date on or about the 17th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred recourse thereunto being had more plainly and at large will appear, being the Land and Plantation whereon AUSTINE PASSONS now dwells, the said Land is bounded, Begining at a large white Oak standing near the sd. Road that leads to PISCATTAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE so along a line of marked trees down to a Marsh side on the North side of PISCATTAWAY CREEK, being the old ancient and reputed bounds between the said Land and the land of ST. JOHN's now GATEWOOD's, so along the said Marsh side to the mouth of a Branch runing into PISCATTAWAY CREEK, then up the sd. Branch the water courses thereof up to the head of the same near to the said PISCATTAWAY FERRY ROAD, thence from the head of the said Branch along a line of marked trees to the aforesaid FERRY ROAD so oup the same and the said Road that leads to PISCATTAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE 'til it comes to the said beginning white Oak tree; To have and to hold the abovesaid one hundred acres of Land and every part and parcel thereof unto the said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever, together with all houses, orchards, trees, water courses and all profits and advantages thereunto belonging; And the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife for themselves their heirs doth covenant with the said JAMES JONES his heirs that he for ever shall peaceably and quietly have all the said Land in the bounds aforesaid and all the premisses and they the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife will warrant and forever defend the abovesaid Land all and singular their right to all the Lands and Tenements with the appurtenances whatsoever that is lieing and being on the South side of the said Road that leads from PISCATTAWAY FERRY to the sd UPPER CHURCH in the Parish aforesaid which formerly did belong to the sd. RICHARD GRIGORY, Father of the sd. ELIZABETH MOORE, and the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife doth thereby also agree with the said JAMES JONES that they will at all times make all such further act and acts for the better conveying the said Land and premisses that he the said JAMES JONES his heirs or assigns shall at any time require; In Witness whereof the sd. parties have set their hands and seals

Memorandum that the with day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Forty three, Livery and seisin was delivered by the within named THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife unto the within named JAMES JONES of the Mansion House on the within mentioned Land and premisses in the name of all the Lands and premisses with the appurtenances to be conveyed by the within Deed to hold to him the
said JAMES JONES forever, according to the true meaning of the same Deed. In Witness whereof the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written

Between SUSANA MEADOR of the County of Essex and Parish of SOUTH FARNHAM and in the Colony of Virginia of the one part and JOHN CHAMBERLAIN of the aforesd. County & Parish and Colony of Virginia of the other part; Witnesseth that whereas the said SUSANNA MEADOR is seized of an Estate of one moiety of and in a certain parcel! of Land scituate and being on a Swamp called KINGS BRANCH and runing to a Swamp called the TANYARD within the said County and Parish and is the Land given and devised by the Last Will and Testament of RICHARD GREGORY the Elder deceased to his Son, RICHD. GREGORY as will appear by the Records of the aforesaid County, and by his decease it did discend to his two Sisters, ELIZABETH MOORE the Wife of THOS: MOORE deced, and SARAH MEADOR the Wife of JOHN MEADOR deceas'd and by their decease is now descended and become to JOHN MOORE, Eldest Son of ELIZABETH MOORE deceas'd, and to the SUSANNA MEADOR, the only Daughter of SARAH MEADOR deceas'd; Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said SUSANNA MEADOR for Fourty pounds currt. money of Virginia have sold all the right in Equity as in Law of her the said SUSANNA MEADOR to the Tract of Land above mentioned; To have and to hold the said part of her the said SUSANNA MEADOR's Land above mentioned unto the said JOHN CHAMBERLAIN his heirs or assigns forever; from the day of the date hereof, In Witness whereof I the said SUSANNA MEA-DOR hath hereunto sett my hand and seale
