Viginians-William Hammock (-1701)
Robert Hammock [HM.2.4] (c.1695-1787) married Anne Lambert, a daughter of Hugh Lambert and Anne Morgan. They were the parents of thirteen children born 1726 to 1758. He voted of burgess in Richmond County in 1771.
Robert Hammock prepared his will in North Farnham Parish 1 October 1785. He left his wife the home plantation until her death when it would go to Benedict. He mentioned also children Lewis Hammock, Rayne Samford, Nancy Jesper, Christian Jones, Robert Hammock, and Mary Crallé. Grandchildren named in the will were William Samford and Elizabeth Jesper. Robert appointed Daniel Brown, Benedict Hammock, and Thomas Jesper executors. William Hammock, Thomas Brown, and Benedict Hammock witnessed Robert execute the document.
The inventory of the estate of Robert Hammock was recorded 2 April 1787.
