      "being work of Body
      Bequeaths to:
      I. John Adams--son
      -to pay testator's debts with the money that they contracted for
      -to have all land lying in Charles County her part °f a tract of land called "Strife-- on his satisfying a bond which testator has of him bearing the date of the 20' instant
      2. Ann Adams --wife
      -to have 100 acres of land being part of a tract of land called "Barton's Hope" to be enjoyed by her peaceably for her natural life without waste and acting in conjunction with testator's son George "during his obedience"
      -to have all of testator's goods and chattels
      3. George Adams -son
      Walter Adams --son
      -at widow's decease to have the land left to her
      --to be divided equally between them on condition
      -George named executor of the will
      4. Elizabeth Adams --daughter

      Indenture made July 19, 1803; Rezin Smoot in consideration of 86 pouds 12 shillings and 6 pence paid by John Adams of George has sold parts of tracts of land called "Maidstone" and "Smoot's Advantage" containing 66 acres and binding on "Canterbery. Signed Rezen Smoot in the presence of and acknowledged before Alexander McPherson, Ignatius Middleton {no wife signed dower}
