Bequeaths to:
1. John Mackall Gantt --son
-whereas testator has already conveyed to him his real estate according to an agreement long since made between the testator and his son, the land is to be as much as testator intended for him to have out of the estate except where named
-the clock and the looking glasses now in the dwelling house where testator resides and not to be removed
2. Daniel Gantt --son
-to have Negro girl "Kitty" the daughter of "Doll"
3. Charles Gantt --son
-To have silver can marked TSG.
4. Thomas Gantt --son
-to have Negroes: "Dick" 'Jacob" "George" "Doll" "Barbara"
-Thomas and Sarah Eleanor to have four fifths of the balance of the 1500 pounds and Sarah to have the other one fifth
-named executors of the will
5. Sarah Eleanor ( Gantt ?) --daughter
-to have Negroes" "Joney" "Pat" and "Nell" the daughter of "Old Shippy"
-to have the sum of 1500 pounds current money or the balance due at testator's death in virtue of the deed of trust to testator's son John
-remainder of the personal estate to be divided between Sarah and Thomas
6. Negroes
-"Flora" and her children are to be manumitted at testator's death and ber cbildren as they arrive at the age of 21 —and to be in the possession of testator's on John and the boys are to be apprenticed to some prudent person to learn the trade of 5hoemaking
-should "Flora" continue living with testator's son John when she is freed, then to have the annual sum of 6 pounds and to let her have a house to live in "Chargo" to be free at testator's death and is not to be considered a slave or be part of the personal estate, and he may live with any of testator's children at his own choostng and to have ail of testator's wearing apparel

Indenture made October 5, 1778; John Gantt, farmer of Berkeley County, Virginia in consideration of 5 shillings current money has granted and to farm let unto Thomas Gantt, Sr., planter of PGCo during the natural life of the said John Gantt all those parts of tracts called by the name of "Hearts Delight" [Harts Delight] and "North Hampton" being part of a tract sold by Thomas Brooke to Henry Wright and bounded by "Brooke Grove", Basil Waring's part of "Heart's Delight" [Harts Delight]and Osborn Sprigg's land. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this October 5, 1778, John Gantt in the presence of and acknowledged before Christopher Lowndes, Richard Henderson

Indenture made October 14, 1775; Clement Hollyday in consideration of 1200 pounds common currency of Maryland paid by Thomas Gantt, Jr. has sold part of two tracts of land one called "Mazoonscon" and the other "Retaliation" and also one whole tract called "Newton" and beginning at a bounded poplar standing in the Cabin Branch and laid out for 400 acres. Indenture made May 8, 1787; Patrick Sim of Frederick County, Maryland in consideration of 4615 pounds ten shillings specie paid by Thomas Gantt of PGCo has sold part of a tract called "Sims Delight" containing 605 acres and bounded by the main road leading from the chappel to the said Sim's plantation, land of said tract leased to Joseph Hagan, that part of said tract excepted in the deed of conveyance from Col. Joseph Sim to Patrick Sim, the Mill Branch and that part of said tract sold to Robert Bowie. Signed Patrick Sim in the presence of and acknowledged before David Craufurd, John Smith Brookes

Indenture made December 23, 1793; Thomas Gantt in consideration of 3,105 pounds current money has sold part of a tract called "Sims Delight" containing 619 acres and bounded by the road leading from St. Paul's Chappel to Upper Marlbro, Hagan's Meadow, the road leading from the Woodyard to the dwelling house, the Mill Branch and mentions Matthew Eversfield.
