      THIS INDENTURE made this Nineteenth day of July 1775 Between CATLETT CONWAY and SUSANNA his Wife of Orange County of one part and GEORGE ANDERSON of County of Culpeper Witnesseth that Catlett Conway and Susanna his Wife for sum of One hundred and ninety two pounds thirteen shillings current money of Virginia have granted unto George Anderson his heirs for ever 289 acres on the Conway River and bound Beginning at a hickory and white oak on the North side of the Conway River to two gums Corner to the old line thence North to a white Chesnut on the North side the Conway River thence down the several courses of the said River to the Beginning „ . .

      George the Third to ROWLAND THOMAS & WILLIAM MOORE Gent Whereas Catlett Conway and Susanna his Wife of County of Orange have sold unto George Anderson land in County of Culpeper and Whereas said Susanna cannot conveniently travel to our County Court to make acknowledgement of the same we do therefore give you power to receive the acknowledgement which the said Susanna shall be willing to make and when you have received her acknowledgement that you Certifie us thereof Witness JOHN JAMESON Clerk of our Court at the Courthouse the 19 day of June in the Fifteenth year of our Reign.
      By virtue of the said Commition here annexed We the Subscribers did on the 5th day of July 1775 go to the within named Susannah Conway and having examined her privily from her husband Catlett Conway do certify that he declared that it was without the persuaions or threats of her said husband she freely acknowledged the conveyance and that she was willing the same should be recorded in the County Court of Culpeper the

      THIS INDENTURE made the 26th day of September 1776 Between CATLETT CONWAY. and SUSANNA his Wife of County of Orange of one part & REUBEN CLARK of County afsd Witnesseth that said Catlett Conway and Susanna his Wife for sum Sixty pounds current money of Virginia hath granted unto said Reuben Clark his heirs forever 233 acres of land in County of Culpeper on the North side of the Conway River joining GEORGE ANDERSONs land and is bounded Begining at a white oak corner to George Andersons on the North side of the Conway River runing then up the several courses of said River to a Dogwood & Ash on the North side the Conway River thence South to two oak sapling in the Sagg of the Mountain thence South to two Hikory Saplins below SIMS thence South to a white oak in the old Corner of George Andersons thence South to a hikory in a Valley thence North to first mentioned Begining
