      THIS INDENTURE made the eighteenth and nineteenth day of March in the fourteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord 1740 Between DENNISS CONNYERS of Prince William County Planter of one part and JOHN FOLLY SENR. of STAFFORD COUNTY & JAMES FFOLLY of Prince William County Planters of the oyr part Witnesseth that sd DENNISS CONNYERS for sum of thirty six pounds lawful Current money of Virginia hath sold unto said JOHN FFOLLY SENR. & JAMES FFOLLY in their actual possession now being by virtue of a Deed for one year and by force of the Statute for transferring uses into possession three hundred & five acres of land in Prince William County being the East part of a PATTENT bearing date ye Sixteenth day of October 1728 granted to said CONYERS for six hundred & five acres of land on the North side of PIGNUT RIDGE about a mile & an half from the land of CAPT. WILLIAM RUSSEL as may more fully appear by the said PATENT recorded in the Office of Ye PROPES. of the NORTHERN NECK of Virginia, To Have and To Hold the sd Tract & premises unto said JOHN FFOLLY SENR. & JAMES FFOLLY their heirs and assigns for ever. In Witness whereof the said parties have set their hands & Seals

      At a Court held for Prince William County March the 23d 1740
      DENIS CONYERS acknowledged this Lease/Release to be his act & deed and it was there- upon admitted to Record, Then MARGARET his Wife (she being first privately examined) relinquished her right of Dover in the land by this Deed conveyed which was also admitted to Record
      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I DENNISS CONNYERS am held and firmly bound unto JOHN FOLLY SENR. of STAFFORD COUNTY & JAMES FOLLY of Prince William County in the full sum of five hundred pounds Stl. money this twenty third day of March 1740/1.
      THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if DENNISS CONNYERS his heirs & assigns shall at all times truly keep all the Covenants which ought to be observed in certain Lease & Release according to the true intent of the same Deeds that then this obligation to be void oyewise to remain in full force

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we DENNIS CONNERS of the Parish of Hamilton & County of Prince William Planter & MARGARET his Wife for divers good causes but more especially for the affection and true love they have for their Son & Kinsman RICHARD THORNBURY & also for the consideration of five shillings Sterling money to them paid have given unto the said RICHARD THORNBURY & to his heirs & assigns forever a parcel of land containing two hundred acres being in the Parish of Hamilton & County of Prince William bounded Begining at a white Oak standing on a branch of LICKING RUN thence to a Stooping Hickory thence to a Corner marked Spanish Oak being Corner tree of JAMES WITHERS SENIOR from thence on a straight line to the said Run thence down the said Run so far as a line extended from thence to the begining will include the two hundred acres which said land is part of a greater tract formerly taken up by & granted unto DENNIS CONNERS by Deed from the PROPRIETORS of the NORTHERN NECK of Virginia bearing date the Seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & twenty three To Have and To Hold the said Tenement together with all the rights belonging unto the said RICHARD THORNBURY his heirs & assignes for ever always provided that the said RICHARD THORNBURY shall not be entituled to the Rent of a Plantation on part of the said Premises now in Occupation of AUGUSTINE JENNINGS during the lives of the Donoers Vizt. DENNIS & MARGARET. In Witness whereof the said parties have set their hands & affixed their seals this 26th day of Septembr. in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty one
