      No.1. p.171. Indenture. 21 March 1652/3. Hannah Clark of Queens Creek sells Dr Jeremiah Harrison of the same place, for 19000 lb tobo 300 acres in Queens Creek in York Co. 250 acres of which was granted to Stephen Gill by patent dated 26 of 7ber (Sept) 1636 and by Gill conveyed to Robt Booth by deed dated 6 Nov 1637 and by said Booth conveyed to John Broch by deed dated 6 Dec 1638, which was renewed by patent to John Broch by patent with an addition of 50 acres of marsh adj thereto dated 16 of 7ber 1639. The bounds fully set down in the patent. Broch then conveyed the 300 acres to Thos Gerrard, gent, by deed dated 26 Oct 1648, and by Gerrard conveyed unto Sir Dudley Wyatt, knt, given unto the said Hannah Clark by his last will and Testament dated 29th of March 1650 and recorded in the Secretary's Office at James City the 25th of 7ber 1651.

      Between 1646 and 1648, Peter Ware is mentioned as an attorney appraising estates in York County, Hampton Parish according to York Co. Abstracts, Vol. 25. In Vol. 6 of Colonial Abstracts, page 281, judgment confessed in court on 26 Oct 1647 Viz: Edward Shelurdine to Stephen Gill for a steer Edward Shelurdine to Peter Ware, attorney for Robert Lewis, 380 lbs. tobo. (tobacco).
