William made a will on 3 March 1719 at Northampton Co, VA. To my loving wife Sorrowful Margaret Kendall n. man Charles and n. woman Gumps wife of the said Charles, my plantation whereon I now live for life, and my plantation at the sea side until my son Custis is 21. To son Custis n. man Tom Cary, my mulatto woman Abigall, a 3rd n. of £30 value, and the Rushia leather chairs. The Negro valued at £30 to be chosen of those given to his mother by her father John Custis, Esq. To my son Littleton all my lands or islands in Accomack Co. To Mr. Robert Howsen. To son William my silver headed cane and silver tobacco box. To my sister Mary Collier. Resid. legatees my wife and six children, viz., Littleton, William, Ann, George Mason, Peggy and Leah to be div. when my eldest child is 21. My children to live with their mother until of age. Wife extrx. My mother Sarah Custis, my brothers Mr. Thomas Custis and Mr. John Kendall to act as trustees. Witt: Sarah Custis, Andrew Ross, Caple King, James Forgus, Mary Collier. William died before July 1720 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated
