      Desire to be buried in a decent manner, appointed by the church of England.
      To wife Sarah Gassaway, now dwelling plantation during life, she to let son Thomas Gassaway, work such pt. of sd. land as she thinks fit; at her decease, to son Thomas; if he shd. die without issue, to son Nicholas Gassaway.
      To son Nicholas Gassaway, plantation formerly the dwelling plantation of his uncle William Cotter, dec'd.; also a tract in mouth of Road River, which I purchased of Thomas Rutland; tract adjoining being land formerly belonging to James Cadles; silver spurrs.
      To dau. Ann Chapman, one slave called Young Bacon, and some others.
      To grand-son William Chapman, and sd. dau. Ann Chapman, some slaves.
      To grand-dau. Sarah Johns, some slaves, and my stone studds set in gold; some cattle and etc.; that sd. grandchild Sarah Johns, be educated as her mother and grandmother think proper, from estate.
      Desire following tracts be soldi pt. of tract called May's Mount, which I purchased of John Gallaway; tract called Triangle which I bought of Thomas Stockett; pt. of tract called Larkin's Hill Resurveyed; pt. of a tract called Bessemden (?), both of which I purchased of John Howard.
      Balance of estate to be divided between wife Sarah Gassaway, son Thomas, and son Nicholas Gassaway.
