      Indenture made August 16, 1763; Samuel Whitehead in consideration of 17 pounds 11 shillings and 10 pence 3 farthing's currency and 117 pounds of tobacco paid by John Duckett, Jr., as also for diverse causes him thereunto moving has sold the following goods and chattles; 1 small black mare, 1 small bay horse, 4 horned cattle consisting of 3 cows and 1 steer; to have and to hold and agree that in case the said Samuel Whitehead do well and truly pay unto John Duckett, Jr. the aforesaid sum of money and tobacco on or before January 1, 1765 then this instrument of writing to be void.       You Samuel Scott, William Scott and John Beall s/o Robert do confess judgment to John Duckett for the sums of 13 pounds 6 shillings and 6 pence current money debt and 6 pence currency and 225 ½ pounds tobacco costs which sums were recovered on the fourth Tuesday of March last to be levied on your goods chattles lands or tenements for the use of John Duckett in case Samuel Scott shall not pay and satisfy the said sum and costs thereon on February 10th next.       Indenture made October 17, 1763; Edward Crabb, Gentleman in consideration of 189 pounds 7 shillings and 6 pence sterling money of Great Britain paid by John Duckett, Jr., merchant has sold part of a tract called "William's Lot" as also part of "James Lot" they being part of a tract called "Essington" containing acres and beginning at a white oak standing at the lower end of Cat Tail Meadow on the west side of the roling road it beging the north west corner tree of a tract formerly belonging to Abraham Clarke called "Essington".       Indenture made March 26, 1767; between Jeremiah Magruder, planter of PGCo of one part and John Duckett of the City of Annapolis, scrivener of the other part. Witnessed that whereas John Duckett by his deed of indenture bearing date March 12, 1765 did convey and make over unto Jeremiah Magruder part of tracts called "Williams Lott", and "James Lott" being part of a tract called "Essington" containing 150 acres which said tracts were conveyed for the indemnity and saving harmless the said Jeremiah Magruder from a certain obligation whereby John Duckett together with Jeremiah Magruder for the proper debt that John Duckett stood bound in the sum of 180 pounds sterling and whereas John Duckett has since paid and satisfied. Now this indenture further witnesseth that in consideration of such discharge and acquittal as also in consideration of 5 shillings sterling has sold and confirmed unto John Duckett all the aforementioned tracts beginning at a bounded white oak standing at the lower end of the Cattail Meadows on the west side of the Rowling Road it being the northwest corner tree of a tract formerly belonging to Abraham Clark called "Essington".
