Subject: MD Families
I have MD families that went to Rowan County, NC thru my mother. Such as: Jo. Turner & Millicent King ( he the son of Wm Turner & Rhoda Dent; Wm the son of Edward Turner & Eleanor Wilson & I thought Edward's father & mother might be Samuel Turner & Lydia Dent. Of course, I have the info on Edward Turner & Mary Smith & also Arthur Turner. I also have info on Dent, King, Johnson, Hatch & Wilson.
A book on the Ark & Dove says Jerome Hawley's bro. Wm inherited his estate & a spinster dau of Jerome filed a claim to her father's estate after Wm's death. I know other people have claimed that Mary Haley that might have married Jo. Wilson was a decendent from Jerome. As regards Mary Haley, while reseaching in MD records I came a upon a Edward Connery (#398) d. 1676 whose widow Mary m. (2) Clement Haley (Raley?) d. 1694 (#1079) Ch: Eliz. & Mary (#84). Unfortunately, I failed to note book. I also have Hyde"s that might be from MD who intermarried with Thompson's, Ryley's & Kellow's.
