Information on Thomas Dyson and his wife Sarah taken from Warren F. Dyson on 10/01/2000: "Many people believe he married Sarah Noe, Sarah Swann is shown marrying Thomas Dyer. The Dyer and the Dysons are also related through marriage to the Dents.
Thomas Dyson, Jr. b. ca 1679, d. ca 1759 m. Sarah ______, d. 1752-1758. He inheirted 55 acres lying within St. John's, and part of Dison's Chance from his father's will; he wit. several wills in Charles Co. in 1712, 1714; in 1732 he is called Thomas Dyson, Sr., children from his will are listed.
Per Mrs. R. L. Weiss, Descendant of George Sr. Dyson, this Thomas' will was proven 24 March, 1759.
She also felt that Anne Dyson married J. T. Burch Jr.
Thomas II DYSON was born 1688 in Charles County, Maryland, and died 24 Mar 1760 in Charles County, Maryland. He married Abigail DIAMOND. He married Sarah NOE. She was born 1686, and died Bet. 1752 - 1758.

Can anyone tell me the source for Thomas Dyson's (Jr.) wife being Sarah SWANN. I just went through all my documents and notes and still can't find anything saying she was definitely a SWANN! Early Families of Southern Maryland, Vol. 6 by Elise Greenup Jordan does show documentation that she was "Sarah".
I've seen for Thomas Sr. that Anne Walford was his wife, but where is the documentation?--discussion please?? Early Families of Southern Maryland, Vol. 6 by Elise Greenup Jordan does show that "Ann" was his wife, but no mention of Walford.
I looked in The Dyson Family of Charles County, Maryland by Robert Barnes which shows Anne (surname unknown) for Thomas Sr. but does not give a name for Thomas Jr.'s wife.
I have posted these questions on the Dyson list, but got zero response. As it is, I list Thomas Dyson Sr.'s wife as "Ann/Anne" and Jr.'s wife as "Sarah" with no last names.

Nov 6, 1729. Came Thomas Dyson, aged about 41 years, and made oath that he was at a place where Preist Hubbert kept Church, and that he, this deponent, saw Danl Morphey decd and his wife Rachell, and with them a child about a year old, which the priest then christened by the name of William, and that the deponent heard the sd Danl say that he was married about 1, 2, or 3 months before that time, which was in Feb. Nov 6, 1729. Came John Gates, aged about 49 years, and made oath that Daniel Morphey of CC, decd, was not married Lc his wife Rachell until she had a base born child, which was called and known by the name of William, and that of edwards sd Rachell was lawfully married by Common Discourse, unto sd Daniel Morphey, and that after the marriage, sd Rachell had a son born who is now called Daniel. Daniel Murphey and Thomas Dyson Sr preferred to this Court the following petition: Your petitioner[s], having had away [no way?] to their Parish Church, Courthouse, nearest Landing, Water mill &c, ever since the situation of the Plantation on which they now dwell, through the land on which Thomas Burch Jr now dwells, which way the sd Thomas Burch has lately stopped up by running a fence across it and forbidding your petitioners to pass that way as usual, so that they cannot pass to the places above mentioned, without being compelled to go, viz, the sd Thos. Dyson 2 miles and the sd Daniel Murphey, 3 miles out of the way to come to the sd places. Therefore they pray your Worships to take the premises into consideration and order that the sd Thomas keep sufficient passable gates to his enclosure, fit for rolling tobacco, passage of carts or riding, and not to obstruct their ancient way through his land so as to render it impassable for the occasions afd.
