      THIS INDENTURE made the Fourteenth day of September in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & Eighty four Between FRANCIS BOURN of County of Culpeper and Parish of Saint Mark and FRANCES his Wife of one part and URIEL MALLORY of County of ORANGE of other part Witnesseth that FRANCIS BOURN & FRANCES his Wife for sum of One hundred & forty nine pounds current of Virginia to them in hand paid by these presents do bargain and sell unto URIEL MALLORY and to his heirs all that tract of land whereon sd BOURN now lives containing by Platt & Survey One hundred and forty nine acres lying in County aforesaid on RAPPADAN RIVER and is bounded Begining at a white Oak on the River, Corner to JOHN BOURNS Lott, thence up sd River the several Courses thereof to a white Oak on said River, Corner to SPENCER BRAMHAMs Lott, thence with that Lott line North twenty nine degrees West One hundred & seventy three poles to two Pines, Corner to said BRAMHAM, thence North forty three degrees East One hundred & forty six pole to two white Oaks and a red Oak, thence South Twenty nine degrees East one hundred and eighty four poles to the Begining, And all the houses gardens Orchards & appurtenances to the same belonging To have and to hold the said One hundred & forty nine acres of land unto URIEL MALLORY his heirs and FRANCIS BOURN shall warrant and forever defend by these presents unto said URIEL MALLORY his heirs In Witness whereof FRANCIS BOURN and FRANCES his Wife have hereunto set their hands & Seals the day and year first above written

      This Indenture was proved by the Oath of RICHARD WAUGH Gent. one of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be Certified, And at a Court held for the said County the 18th October 1784 it was proved by the Oath of JAMES SLAUGHTER Gent, another of the witnesses thereto & ordered to be Certified; And at a Court held foresaid County the 13th day of November 1784 was fully proved by the Oaths of FRANCIS LOWEN and JOHN BOURN, witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded, which together with a Commission thereto annexed and Certificate thereon endorsed is also ordered to be recorded
