      Indenture made January 4, 1775; Joshua Griffith and Ann Griffith his wife of Anne Arundel County, Maryland in consideration of 1000 pounds sterling money of Great Britain paid by Samuel Tyler has sold part of a tract called "Parrotts Manor" containing 300 acres. Originally patented unto Gabriel Parrott late of Anne Arundel County, Maryland and called "Parrotts Thickett but afterwards resurveyed and called "Parrotts Manor" lying on the west side of Patuxent River. Devised in tail by the last will and testament of Henry Hall, late of St. James Parish, clerk in Anne Arundel County, Maryland unto his son Edward Hall which by descent became the right of Ann Griffith the daughter and only child of Edward Hall.
