      Jeremiah Mockaboy [aka Mockbee, unproven]
      b. circa 1747 [if he was the son of Brock Mockbee and Rachel Gore]
1758 provided for by Benjamin Kelly after the death of Brock Mockbee
27 Dec 1775 listed on the Committee of Observation of the Middle District of Frederick County
[Maryland Historical Magazine, Vol XI, No. 1, page 170, Journal of the Committee of Observation of the Middle District of Frederick County, September 12, 1775-October 24, 1776 (journal entry dated 27 Dec 1775 listing names), William Hand Browne, Louis Henry Dielman, Editors, Maryland Historical Society, Baltimore, March 1916

Elizabeth Garrott, dau of John Garrott who died in 1775/1776 first married Jeremiah Mockoboy (aka Mockbee). He was the son of Brock Mockbee & Rachel Gore, according to your notes. Elizabeth must have married him in 1776 or 1777 and he died during the same time period. Couldn't have lived long after their marriage which makes sense because she didn't have any children by him. Jeremiah was living in Frederick County in 1775/1776 when he was listed as a member of the Associators at Frederick County, Maryland (along with John Garrott and Thomas Odell and Charles Thomas Philpott). By the way, I once told you that John Garrott Sr. was a member of the Associators. I can't prove it but I think it was actually John Garrott Jr. The name on the list did not have Sr. or Jr. which, as you know, usually indicates that there was only one living. JG Sr. probably died the end of 1775. I think the list was made in 1776 and covered a time period that included both 1775 and 1776, though I'm not certain of it.
