      BY THIS PUBLIC INSTRUMENT of Procuration or Letter of Attorney Be it Known that on the Sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty Before me THOMAS BROWNE Notary Publick Dwelling in LONDON duly admitted and Sworn and in the presence of the Witnesses hereafter named Personally appeared Mr. JAMES FORBES Door Keeper to the ROYAL AFFRICAN COMPANY of ENGLAND, ELIZABETH FORBES his Wife and ISABELL FORBES Daughter of the said JAMES and ELIZABETH FORBES which said appearers did severally declare to have made and Constituted Captain THOMAS TEAGUE Master of the good SHIP or Vessell called the CHARLES and EDWARD HUMPHRAYS of Virginia their said Attornies jointly and severally for them in their names or any of their names to ask demand sue for and by all Lawful! means to recover and receive from SAMUEL MOON and BENJAMINE STROTHER both of KING GEORGE COUNTY in Virginia Sole Executors of the Last Will and Testament of WILLIAM DODGIN late of the Parish of Hanover in KING GEORGE COUNTY in Virginia aforesd Deceased or of any from whom else it may concern the several Legacies by said Last Will and Testament of WILLIAM DODGIN deceased to them the said Constituants respectively and which are as follows (to wit) Twenty pounds Sterling unto the said appearer JAMES FORBES and to his Wife Two pounds and to his Daughter Ten Shillings Sterling together what other money as shall become due upon account of the sd Legacies or any of them And upon recoveries and Receipt to give one or more Acquittances in due form of Law also if need be to appear before all Lords Judges and justices in any Court there to answer and reply in all matters and Causes touching the premises to Implead seize attack imprison and to condemn and out of prison again to Deliver and generally all matters Execute in as full and ample manner as they the Constituants jointly might do if personally present (and that altho: the Cause should require more ample or Especial power than is herein before Particularly Expressed) with Power of Substitution and revocation They the said Constituants hereby jointly and Severally Ratify all and whatsoever the said THOMAS TEAGUE and EDWARD HUMPHREYS or either of them shall Lawfully do or cause to be done.       THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of December one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven Between DANIEL LOVELL and ELIZA: his Wife of the Parish of CAMDEN in County of PITTSYLVANIA of one part and AARON WEBB of Parish of DRISDALE in County of CAROLINE of other part; Witnesseth that DANIEL LOVELL and ELIZA: his Wife for sum of Fifty pounds current money of Virginia in hand paid by these presents doth bargain and sell unto AARON WEBB & to his heirs all that parcel of land situate in Parish of Hanover and County of King George containing by estimation One hundred and fifty acres more or less and bounded, Beginning on the line of MOSES PITMAN, thence along the said PITMANs line to lines of Capt.
