Mar. 3, 1853 - Horatio M. Ward, d. at his residence in this County on the morning of the 3rd instant after a long and painful illness which he bore with great fortitude and patience, Mr. Ward aged 54 years.

Oct. 12, 1819 - The account of Joanna E. Ward guardian to Horatio M. Ward, a minor of Charles Co.
First this accountant charges herself with said minor's distributive share of his deceased father's personal estate - $607.96.
Add the hire of Negro Huke for the years 1815-1818 - $150.00.
Total: $757.96.
Out of which this accountant is allowed $150.00 for the support and maintenance of said minor from Jan 1, 1815 till Jan. 1, 1818 [sic; 1819] is 4 years.
Balance of account: $607.96.

Comment: The list of "toasts by" is about 125 names long and the vast majority of the persons named have no place of residence shown so are presumably of Washington, D.C.
