      Page 143-144 Will of PETER BEACH. .. this 20th day of April 1702 1 Peter Beach of county Stafford being very sick and weak .. give and bequeath to my well beloved son ALEXANDER BEACH 200 acres of land lying upon Ashtons Run .. and in case of no heirs to return to my loving son THOS. .. and in case no lawful heirs to return to my daughter MARY .. I give and bequeath to my son THOMAS a farm in England lying in Staffordshire now In possession of Mr. JOHN TRANTER .. and in case of no heirs to return to my three daughters to be by them sold and equally divided that is to say MARY, ELIZA. and ANN to be paid unto them at eighteen or day of marriage .. to my loving wife MARY BEACH one tract of land lying on Peace Neck and now occupied by THOMAS MASTERS.. to my loving Brother DANL. BEACH all my wearing apparel and as for my personal estate my will is that it he appraised and after my debts be paid to be equally divided between my loving wife & my son Thomas & my three daughters Mary, Eliza. and Ann .. my wife shall have the profit of their estate until they come to age or the day of marriage .. appoint my loving wife Mary & my loving Brother Daniel Beach Execrs.

Know ye that this Indenture made the 28th day Janry. 1701 Witnesseth that JOSEPH WHITSON & MARY his wife of county Stafford Planter for sum Three thousand and five pounds of Tobacco and cask paid by JAMES FLETCHER sold one Plantation of land lying & upon the North side Acquia River near & next upon a bank of the said River called & known by the name of Rooses Bank the said bank being the dividing by & between Mr. GILES BRENT and Joseph Whitson which Plantation Joseph Whitson by his Fathers Patent will more at large appear which said tract of land containing by estimation 100 acres more or less being the moiety of 300 acres as by patent may appear unto the said Fletcher .. beginning at :a. bended hickory standing by Rooses Branch and running West & South up a valley cross the. road to a white oak standing in a cove of the River Acquia and from the oak to a point called Whites tones Point and from the Point down the river to a long point of harsh which makes the narrows of the said River and over the Marsh still down the river to a Point at mouth of Rooses Branch & running up the branch to the hiccory containing 100 acres of land more or loss .. only excepting; 20 foot square where my Father & Mother is buried that we & our family may be there buried by them also 20 foot square at the Burying place where my Sister and Brother PETER BEACH has children are buried & to be for the said Beach's family's burying place .. this 28th day Janry. 1701.

      At a Court held 11th March 1701 .. Joseph Whitson came into open court and acknowledged the deed of sale to THOMAS (sic) FLETCHER ordered the same be recorded.

      Know all men .. that 1 Mary Whitson the wife of Joseph Whitson do appoint MICHAEL JUDD to be my attorney acknowledge my part and right of a parcel of land which my Husband hath sold to James Fletcher .. to which sale I do freely and willingly give my free consent .. 26th day Janry. 1701.
