My research shows that on October 8, 1805 the following persons left VA for Kentucky:
GeorgeRouse, Elizabeth Rouse, John House, Milly House, Fredrick Zimmerman,
Rose Zimmerman, Ephraim Tanner, Susanna Tanner, John Rouse, Nancy Rouse and
Elizabeth Hoffman. They arrived in Boone County the 25th of November1805.
These families founded the second church in Boone County, Hopeful Lutheran Church
which is still in existence and will be celebrating their200 anniversary with the publication of
a book. The church is in what is now called Florence Kentucky. The origininal cemetary
whee many of these folks are buried is still next to the church.r
All of these families are part of what was called the GermannA Colony in Virginia and
information can be found in two books. One "James Rouse of Virginia" by Nancy Rouse
(not me) and another book called "Beyond Germanna"I don't have either book.

2. Ephraim TANNER was born 17 OCT 1778 in Madison County, Virginia., and died 26 OCT 1846 in Florence, Boone County, Kentucky. He was buried in Ephraim Tanner Cem, Florence, Kentucky. He was the son of 4. Frederick F. TANNER and 5. Maria ROUSE.
3. Susannah HOUSE was born 20 NOV 1784 in House Hollow Slate Mills, Virginia,, and died 12 OCT 1870 in Boone County, Kentucky. She was buried in Ephraim Tanner Cem, Florence, Kentucky. She was the daughter of 6. Matthias HOUSE and 7. Mary Margaret Rider MITCHELL.

He married Annie HOUSE 3 NOV 1825 in Boone County, Kentucky, daughter of Jacob HOUSE and Susannah TANNER. She was born 12 JUN 1803 in Culpeper County, Virginia, and died 2 OCT 1840 in Ky.
ii. Frances Veronica TANNER was born 30 MAY 1804 in Madison County, Virginia., and died 27 OCT 1859 in Boone County, Kentucky.. She married William ADYLOTTE. She married Frederick Augustus CARPENTER. He died 14 FEB 1842.
iii. Simeon H. TANNER was born 28 NOV 1805 in Boone County, Kentucky., and died 1 APR 1891 in Boone County, Kentucky.. He married Rebecca GATTEN 9 AUG 1827 in Boone County, Kentucky. She was born 1806, and died 11 MAY 1847. He married Rachel BLACK 1 OCT 1859 in Boone County, Kentucky. She was born 7 AUG 1817, and died 2 JAN 1900.
iv. Enos TANNER was born 11 FEB 1811 in Boone County, Kentucky., and died 14 APR 1891 in Boone County, Kentucky.. He married Melinda ROUSE 5 APR 1832 in Boone County, Kentucky. She was born 7 OCT 1815, and died 18 JUN 1884.
